Title: The honeymoon is over
Post by: Fishfinger on August 16, 2006, 08:07:19 PM
Terry and Caro have had a spat on WLF over weight.  ;D No more ratings from Neighbours viewers tuning in to see when they finally get together. :-*
Would have had a sad ending in a few weeks anyway when Fox Footy goes off the air.  :( Got a letter from Austar on Monday saying the channel is gone as of September 30.

Caro's body language was amusing while Terry was giving her a dressing down (as distinct from an undressing down). She was leaning back so far that she was almost in Clinton's lap. On reflection, maybe she was trying to create a bit of jealousy.  :)

 ;D

Was it bad enough that one of them might not show up next week?

I can feel a Richmond bashing article coming on. Caro hasn't had much of a chance the last 2 years with no squabbles inside the club.

The biggest concern to  me was how much Clinton seemed to enjoy it  :gobdrop

Is it just gone from Austar as opposed to Foxtel? Because I haven't recevied anything from Foxtel and they are 2 seperate companines.

I think Foxtel is playing funny buggers with trying to do deal with Ch's 7 & 10

I think Fox want to create a Fox Sports 3 channel to replace Fox Footy except that it won't be exclusively AFL. I think they plan to show A-League soccer too on it.

There was good news in that letter as well.  :-\ The W Channel is so popular that they're introducing W +2. Fantastic! (can't find the emoticon that shows me hanging myself  ;D).
Losing Fox Footy channel is all worthwhile after all.  :sleep

A couple of weeks ago they had the head honcho of Fox Sports on SEN - some segment on the morning show where they talk to the heads of different sporting organisations (they've had the boss of the ARU, NRL and the grand Prix)

Anyway they asked the head of Fox Sports about the footy Rights and he said a couple of interesting things.

1/ Fox Sports is seperate company to Foxtel and therefore have no access to the AFL because the Fox Footy Channel is owned by Foxtel

2/ Foxtel not Fox Sports own the rights to the AFL Footy

3/ Ch's 7 & 10 are in discussions with Foxtel not Fox Sports about the Footy rights althought they would like to be ionvloved - Foxtel would have to wait until Foxtel pull out of discussions and he couldn't see that happening

4/ They are hoping to launch a Fox Sports3 in the next few months to carry more live sports but that would not include the AFL but A-League more golf, tennis and other sports like Baseball, NFL and NHL
