Good to see Clever back in the seniors at FF. Hopefully Coburg will play more direct into their forward line this week even if they are young and undermanned. Rather they lose by 10 goals plus playing direct footy than trying to minimize the scoreboard damage like last week :scream.

:gotigers
Pity the games are on at the same time :(
-
Good to see Graham hold his place. :)
Perhaps my $60.00 has not been wasted. :shh

If our guys at Coburg have intentions of playing at AFL standard then it is time to show a bit of spunk at ressie level.
I want to go to a final next week - you listening >:(
-
The Burgers are certainly up against it this week in the VFL.
Only 7 RFC guys and playing the most in form team in the comp after the Bullants.
Alot is going to depend on how they go on holding Edwards.

If Coburg get within 5 goals it will be a good effort. They have been stuffed by our injuries which was good news for Richmond as our youngsters got AFL games into them but it left Coburg totally undermanned.

Surely Edwards will get drafted this season, has kicked plenty of goals and has the physical attributes to play senior footy.
Would he fit into our structure though?
I reckon we could do worse

Frankston basically played the Coburg ressies plus a handful of Richmond ring-ins. Not surprised Edwards kicked 9.
In any case forwards aren't much use if we (Richmond) can't get our hands on the footy in the first place like today :-\.

Match-report from the Herald-Sun:
Frankston Dolphins outclassed the under-maned Coburg Tigers by 51 points in their first elimination final.
All eyes were Frankston and former West Coast Eagle full-forward Aaron Edwards, 22, who booted 9.3 to lift his season's tally to 97.
Umpires stopped play for five minutes during the second quarter after a melee involving 20 players erupted as Coburg skipper Travis Ronaldson was stretchered off after crashing heavily in a marking contest.

From the Age:
Frankston has powered through to the second week of the finals after blitzing Coburg by 51 points, 20.13 (133) to 13.4 (82). Spearhead Aaron Edwards kicked nine goals to take his season tally to 97.
Frankston flew out of the blocks by kicking six of the first seven goals of the match.
Coburg captain Travis Ronaldson was concussed after bravely backing into a rampaging Edwards, taking a gutsy mark.
He was stretchered off, but his courage seemed to inspire his teammates, as a mini-Tiger revival shaved the deficit to 23 points. But Edwards was having none of that and slammed on three goals in five minutes to put the result beyond doubt.
Dolphin Byron Murphy, despite carrying osteitis pubis, was influential with his fierce tackling and spectacular aerial marking.
