Jeff selling off another Victorian assest ;D.
In all seriousness, the Hawks have now turned themselves in a nomad club and if history is anything to go on then that doesn't lead to happiness and security as the Roos, Dogs, Saints and Dees have found out. Somehow there's a promise that they will get 11 games at the 'G (7 home, 4 away) to compensate their Melbourne members but as old Fitzroy fans have learnt those guarantees of Melbourne games aren't worth the paper they are written on.
The other thing that ticks me off is they use our game as an example of the success of AFL and Hawthorn in Tassie. It was a success but that was thanks to Tiger supporters turning out in droves. Everyone who went to that game has said it was like a Richmond home game as far as crowd support went. I'm glad we play a away game in Tassie as we have a lot of support down there but why should we subsidise Hawthorn so they can get $15m off the Tassie government why we get sweet FA :banghead.

I think that is a very good point MT. It was the biggesr ever attendance there so it must have been us rather than them pulling the people in.
I actually feel sorry - genuinely I'm not being underhanded - for many Hawks. They are no longer a fully fledged Vic club and can adn willl be mercilessly pilloried as bumpkins.
Big 4? Always a joke really and they never believed it themselves and now they are not even a Victorian club anymore.

The Hawks now have to spend $50k so their fans can go to the few Victorian games they have. Should be an interesting AGM at the
Hawthorn Tassie Hawks with Jeff and co. explaining 9 interstate games to their shafted members :rollin.
