Post by: mightytiges on September 06, 2006, 01:06:46 PM
Apparently the latest rumour doing the rounds is we are interested in him.

Thoughts?

if the rumor is correct we should take him

power fwd who can also play in defence

knows how to play at ff with a power chf , knows how to team up well in the fwd line.

can win games off his own bot

would take him without blinking, trade jay 4 him

Woud be a handy pick up but you would think that Brisbane would want a bit for him. He is out of contract but doubt he would still be around for us in the pre-season draft.

It's a big sacrifice but i am willing to offer our GUN midfielder in Shane Tuck. Tuck will be a big loss but thats life.  ;D

Why do you gentlemen continue to try and stuff my trading strategy. Shane Tuck is off limits to you...he is a super super superstar, and we should settle for  nothing less than No 3 draft pick from North and if they push us really hard we could chuck in Krakouer. As for Bradshaw, he is 28 years old or something, no way should you offload Jay Schulz for hims, Bradshaw is worth McGuane & a 4th rounder at best,  As for Jay Schulz if you want him out, then you should be trying to offload him to Port Adelaide where Mark Williams is on public record as saying he prefers experienced players rather than drafted players coz drafted players are unknowns pretty much. DONT STUFF THE STRATEGY.

Regards

Bradshaw would be great, especially as he can play either end.  But I can't really see Brisbane getting rid of him.  When Jonathon Brown's out, he's the forward they look to.

As long as no early picks are given away. Bradshaw hasn't had the greatest year but I think thats because the delivery from the Lions midifeld has been very poor this season. Would be a good pickup IMO.

Is there now some more truth to this rumour?

Bradshaw may return

DANIEL Bradshaw could be added to the exodus of big names from Brisbane, with the full-forward considering a return to home state Victoria.

Bradshaw, coming off arguably his best of 11 seasons with Brisbane, is out of contract and has attracted the interest of Melbourne clubs.

Tim Notting and Daniel Bradshaw are other out-of-contract Lions receiving interest from Melbourne-based clubs.

Bradshaw is 27 and the forward book-end to Michael. His manager Ron Joseph has told the Lions he won't stay for anything less than a three-year deal.

"He will definitely head into the trade period out of contract," Joseph said. "I would say at this stage we seem to be at fairly significant ends of the scale."

Bradshaw would be a great pickup! He has a great temperament and can be a match winner. If it takes a 3 year deal we should do it.  :thumbsup

Absolutely we should go for him.

A KPP who can play forward or back who pobably has 5 seasons left.

Kicked 60 goals last year for a crap Brisbane outfit and wants to return to Melbourne.

Bradshaw would be a perfect fit a Tigerland and unlike some of the other names being bandied about would make u a better side IMO.

3 year deal at 400k sounds about right.

Go get him Miller. :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

That's probably on the money Magic as to what Bradshaw wants but I'd be a bit concerned about paying too much. Bradshaw is solid and can play KP at either end but he's no superstar.

The Lions are saying Bradshaw is "untouchable".

Goals required, so Cats make Bradshaw bid

The Age
October 9, 2006

THE seemingly endless search for a key forward that has frustrated Geelong for almost a decade has led the Cats to the door of Brisbane Lions full-forward Daniel Bradshaw.

The Cats, like others who have inquired about the out-of-contract forward, have been told by the Lions that Bradshaw is one of their select "untouchables" and will not be discussed when the clubs gather in Melbourne this morning for the opening of the annual five-day exchange period.
