WTF has happened to our country and national sport.
Pre game entertainment, which apparently we want, consists of idol losers and winners alike,95% of
who could die in 2 years and we would never know.
How does this symbolise our hard game ?

AFL does things on the cheap. NFL gets U2; AFL gets ummm.... Australian Idol ::)
I remember the story in the AFL's centenary year when Wayne Jackson was asked by a group of teenagers to have Smashing Pumpkins at the Granny. His reply was that it would be too messy :wallywink :lol

entertainment is really hard... for mine, just get one singer, do Waltzing Matilda and Advance Australia Fair, get them off the ground and leave the ground empty for 30 minutes prior to the game and let the build up happen on its own. The game doesnt need poo entertainment...

It says something when even JPY's short return to the limelight thanks to Strictly Ballroom was 15 years ago.
Wishful thinking to think the AFL will ever get a artist/band that's had a major worldwide hit within the past 12 months ::). Sheesh if they want classic Aussie rock stuff out the dough and get AC/DC FFS. Think big or as Ramps says forget about it.
