SEN said Miller will be coming on soon to talk to Hudson.
Not sure when so if anyone hears it can they give a run down of what Greg says.
-
miller will be on after the next commercial break

didnt say much other than if we were to get polak, we would have to trade a player on a similar salary due to our financial constraints thus cant really trade a draft pick for him :thumbsup
good move so lets trade a hall or tiv for him :thumbsup

Thanks X.
Jotted down some points too:
* Day went quickly. Not much discussion with us. Apart from the 3-4 the media are running with nothing else.
* Length of trade week doesn't make a difference. Agrees next couple of days is a non-event as clubs don't start talking to each other again until Thursday.
* In regards to threeway Polak rumoured trade, financially we can't bring a play in unless we move one on on similar $$$.
* Player dictates where they want to go so that is an issue too.
* You get outlandish comments today (not from us lol) but it settles down as the week goes on. Had a chuckle from some clubs' comments today.

I didn't hear it as Miller meaning a pick won't definitely be used at all in any deal. It's just that we must first offload a Tiger on a similar salary before accommodating Polak.
Polak is allegedly on 250-300k :o :help. So does that mean Krak is going who is on 275k for 3 years? ??? I've got no idea how much Tuck is getting. On current value Tuck, Krak >>>> Polak on current value. At least our boys are in our best 18 every week.

Ramps. Would think one if not the two you mentioned wont be there at the end of week ! ;)

From the AFL site:
Richmond football operations manager Greg Miller admitted the Tigers faced two major hurdles before they could secure Polak, who would add some much-needed height to the team's small defence.
"We are reasonably (keen on Polak) but we have got budgetary constraints," Miller said.
"We have to clear someone out to be able to afford him so there is that issue (as well as coming up with a suitable trade deal for the Dockers)."
Miller said the Tigers would "definitely not" be giving up an early round draft pick for Polak.
"We are not interested in losing any of our choices in the draft and as I said there is also our financial constraints as well so we have take that into consideration as well," he said.
The Tigers' veteran administrator said he would be surprised if many clubs would be willing to give up early draft picks this year, such was the strength of the 2006 crop of draftees.
"The whole (first) day (of trading) was pretty quiet which just shows the depth of this draft," he said.
"Most clubs are talking about keeping their draft choices and I can understand why."

Sounds like shorthand for "No deals" for us.
That would be sad.

There's still Joel Perry from North that we have apparently offered 2-year deal to compared to only the one-year from North. And of course we may offload a player(s) ourselves for pick(s). It's going to be a long week full of mix-signals.

The Director of football at Richmond told Sport 927, while the Tigers have signalled interest in Fremantle key position player Graham Pack, they won't ge giving up an early round draft pick.
