Pretty arrogant them yanks calling their comp a world series :lol
Anyone here follow the Major league playoffs (Baseball)
I first started following in high school (Many many years ago :rollin) when St louis won the World series and followed them until I went to the states in 1999 and went to a game at stuff, thus adopting the Redsox.
Pretty awesome when they broke their hoodoo a couple of years back.
StLouis are there again and have gone 1 up on the Detroit Tigers (who I also have a soft spot for) "Tigers".
Dont pay much attention during the season but come playoffs really get glued to the idot box, once you start to understand the game it is pretty awesome.
If I wasn't a diehard aussie, could probably say a better game than cricket :shh

I'm a Yankee's fan myself but I do have a soft spot for the White Sox and prerennial losers the Pittsburgh Pirates ;D
Detroit Tigers levelled the series today. Defeated the Cardinals 3-1.
They now head off to St Louis for 3 games.
I am cheering for the Tigers simply because they made it to the World Series, they are young and if they win the thing it's a great baseball story.
They also prove that you don't need the biggest payroll in the game (ala the Yankees US $200+ million, the Bosox US $160 million) to be a good tram.
Hopefully the Yankees owner Crazy George Steinbrenner is paying attention :-\

SEN were saying Detroit were like Richmond so the Tigers moniker fitted. Something like this is their first time to the play-offs since 1984.
Their pitcher is 41 years old too :o.
