JON is up next. He played 4 AFL games (plus 10 at Coburg) in his debut year which will be mainly remembered for his "winning" point on debut in the Dreamtime match. His 2006 ended prematurely when he suffered a broken right collarbone in a heavy collision with Bulldog Cameron Faulkner in the first quarter of Round 18.
How did we think JON went in his first year and what expectations do we have for him in 2007?

I have not seen any of Coburgs games, and never saw much of him in the 4 AFL games.
Hard to say what he's gonna be like.

injury boy.

Needs to add weight to te frame ASAP.
Excellent attitude, good pace and decent skills provides a base for an AFL career.

Was really looking forward to seeing JON play. Had good raps on him when he was drafted and seems like he could be an exciting player to watch. Hope we get to see the best of him, at some stage.

Don't worry about JON.
Have to remember as a kid from WA he was coming from a long way back - never done a proper pre-season before 2005 going into 2006.
So this year going into 2007 will have a proper pre-season. Certainly needs some beef but with plenty of work in the gym and perhaps a few steak sandwiches ;D he'll be fine.
If attitude and hard work are any guide then he'll be grand indeed :thumbsup
Will be an excitement machine

I agree the hyphen will be a player.

yeah, '07 is a big year for JON, he needs to show us he has something otherwise he's gawn! ;D
-
More food and gymwork for JON. Did quite well I thought for Coburg working back in defence later in the year.
-
06 was a challenge for JO-N as he adjusted to all the 1st year changes
07 will see him finding his feet and adapting to the demands of AFL
another one of TW's choices so expect him to get lots more time on the ground
still needs to bulk up others need to provide him with some protection on the ground as he weaves his magic for all to see
if we can keep him as a Tiger he will become a favourite of many

Any updates on his height & weight. Could be a couple of cm's taller than when drafted !
