Terry Wallace has introduced a novel incentive-based pre-season with 15 spots in Richmond's opening NAB Cup match available for the best performers on the track and in the gym over the summer.
The Tigers will be given a score for every session across the pre-season including running, boxing, weight work and skills sessions and the top 15 are guaranteed selection.
Reputation and seniority count for nothing, according to Wallace.
"They don’t have to worry about me selecting them or the match committee picking their names out," Wallace said.
Brett Deledio and Cam Howat were the frontrunners over the first few weeks of the pre-season, but young utility Nathan Foley is topping the list at the moment.

Plough is smart. He was probably going to put a young side on the park for the NAB Cup anyway but now he's made it competitive knowing the youngsters will have a better chance of grabbing all 15 spots. 15 youngsters plus 7 senior guys to lead and protect is a good mix for February and March.

2007 could be the year Lids explodes :pray :thumbsup. You've got to love Foley's work ethic too. No wonder he's made it this far despite his size.
