According to the membership department, they haven't tallied the numbers up yet Ramps but apparently we are ahead of last year's numbers at the same time of year.
-
It will be hard to get the numbers up early with the NAB cup schedule, unless you want to go to Hicksville for a twilight game on Sunday :banghead I doubt we will be going to any.
At least we start the season proper with a few at the G - which will be hanging out for by the way :cheers
-
Never seen so many people at a family day as last year - great they're having it there again :thumbsup
-
SE suburbs is still a Richmond heartland, need to support it and nurture it- itll be a success for sure.

Had a great day at last years family day. Unfortunately wont be able to go this year due to a pre booked grape grazing tour :cheers
Also means my son and his friends cant go because we have no idea about public transport from Lilydale to Jells Park
-
because we have no idea about public transport from Lilydale to Jells Park
Neither do those who run Melbourne's public transport system :lol
-
Certainly was a good day last year but it's a long hike for those who live on the other side of town. :whistle
I suppose you cannot please everyone
Wont be attending because it's an hour drive and I have Doggie Training between 12-1.00pm - not really worth going

Here's one option 2JD:
take the train to Nunawading station; get a bus along Springvale Rd, getting off at Waverley Rd;walk the last 2kms up (and down) Waverley Rd.
-
Thanks Gordon, somehow I think thats going to be too much effort (it would be for me too lol)
-
2JD, got the solution. Drive! ;)
-
I haven't read too many threads (sorry if already stated) but the barometer is up on the RFC website.
-
Pay attention young Jack....I'll be grazing on grapes lol ;)
-
Should get some young hunk to feed them to you 2JD.
-
Sounds like a good idea Julz, last year the bus driver had to drop us off at our front door, we grazed so much.........fell on the couch and didnt move till late the next day, I was sooooo sick, (must have been a bad grape :shh)
-

Glad you mentioned ""Young"" Jack, lol
Sorry, my lack of ""attention"""has landed me in trouble in the past, Jackstar should lift his game. lol
Anyway, go and graze on grapes and enjoy, I wont be attending for obvisous reasons :lol
-
im not gonna go either this year lol...truth is i cant be stuffed.

So who is going from OER?
Newy spoke a little bit about it yesterday. Starts at 10.30am and goes to 3pm. Newy will be in the Motorola autograph tent at 11am. There's the player guernsey presentation and a Petstop reptile presentation. Simmo is bringing along his snakes along :lol.

Hmm wonder if I can get a flight at this late stage ;)
-
Simmo is bringing along his snakes along :lol.
What kind of snake :lol Just kidding ;D
I probably won't be going, unless I can drag someone with me, but I doubt it :(
-
Gonna be a hot day Sunday.
WOnder if it will have an effect on the crowd numbers - not alot of shade at Jells Park - or at least where they had it last year
-
Wallace said today on SEN that the finalised NAB Cup top 15 will be named at the Family day. The winner will come from one of the current top 3, Foley, Lids and Howat.

Plough to reveal top 15 Tigers at Family Day
12:59:03 PM Fri 16 February, 2007
richmondfc.com.au
The announcement of the 15 players who definitely will be selected in the Richmond team for the NAB Cup opener against Geelong at Skilled Stadium on February 25, will be a major highlight of the Tigers’ Family Day at Jells Park this Sunday (February 18).
Coach Terry Wallace will announce the final standings in the players’ pre-season ‘NAB 15 Challenge’ at 12.15pm during the Club’s guernsey presentation.
Today’s intra-club practice match at Casey Fields in Cranbourne (starting at 4pm) is the final opportunity for players to press their claims for automatic selection in the Tigers’ team for that NAB Cup clash with the Cats.
Once this trial game is over, the Club’s coaching panel will allocate points and Richmond supporters who attend Sunday’s Family Day at Jells Park in Wheeler’s Hill, will have the top 15 pre-season performers revealed to them by Terry Wallace. The players, themselves, also will learn of their NAB Cup fate first-hand on the day.
If that’s not enough to whet the football appetite of Tiger fans, here’s what else is in store for you during the Club’s Family Day (proudly brought to you by PETstock) from 10.30am-3pm . . .
• Player autograph and photo booths
• PETstock reptile park
• PETstock’s Cutest Pet Competition
• Moto Masher
• AFG sausage sizzle
• Live music
• Children’s amusements and footy activities
• Membership and merchandise on-sale
• Food and drinks available to purchase
