I wished we picked up a young potential KPP instead of two smalls. We now have 3 smalls and one ruckman as rookies.

We obviously picked up guys who have been training with us for some time so Miller, Plough and co at least have had a good look at them. Clingan is rated to have good skills but I know as much as about him as you do Ramps. If he was wearing #36 at training he was already training with our young draftees. I'm not surprised we picked up King. Always on the cards we'd pick up a Coburg player which I must admit I'm not the greatest supporter of based on previous VFL pick-ups. I hope King proves me wrong. He's fitted into our training drills well. WP is a big fan of his watching him most weeks.

I was a fan of young Qld key defender Grose so lucky Port. Unusual for the Adelaide sides to go outside their own with rookies so they must rate him too.

How many runts do we need  :banghead
And that was "runts" lol  ;)

Limbach missed out altogether it seems.

 Round Four

Me no understando.  ??? If you must have 44 players on the list and you have a pick then how can you "pass"?

Was that because they had two PSD picks and used both?
-
Ahhh, that would be it.  :thumbsup Thanks.
It's not a pass then, they no longer had the pick.

:yep :yep :yep very big fan.

Tough as nails, has a bit of mongrel Jake King - maybe a bit short in stature but bloody strong excellent tackler and good disposal - think Nathan Foley and you're on the right track with Jake :thumbsup

 Yep!

I like the way King plays but Im not sure where he can play- hes really slight. Back Pocket maybe on small forwards, dont know- really dont know but I wish him well.

Don't think he is "slight" Ramps - got more beef and muscle on him than some of kids (e.g Meyer).

Back Pocket or HBF is the go for Jake

That's the positions King has been playing during training praccie matches. Played on Browny most of that time.

Very disappointing day of recruiting IMO.  :banghead

Drafting Kingsley was a BIG mistake. Should have taken a bottom-ager like Prismall or Collier

Rookie pick 8, Clingan is a good young player but not what we needed, we've ALREADY got his type in Raines. Definitely should have gone for a key defender, think Grose maybe.

Rookie pick 24, not going to complain too much, Kingy is a good player, kind of hoping for Sheringham or Pfieffer though.

 Today's recruiting 4/10
 National draft day recruiting 8.5/10

How could we fall so far from grace is beyond me.  :banghead

We only had two rookie spots left which limited our options. Maybe in hindsight we should have delisted one more, kept Richo as a inside vet and then had a 3rd rookie selection. I have a feeling other clubs weren't interested in Clingan or King so we still probably could have got both of them with a 2nd or 3rd round rookie pick respectively and got a Grose with our first rookie pick. Ideally that would have nice as far as the make-up our rookie (ruckman, a key tall, 3 smalls) list but it's done now. If Clingan turns out to be another Raines then I won't be complaining. Stick Clingan in a BP with Raines in the centre.
