Now our playing list is finalised, how excited are you about how the Tiges will go in 2007?
-
I'm hoping for finals this year, a grand final in 2008 and flags in 2009 and 2010.
;D
-
I can't wait to see our boys back in action! :thumbsup
I would like to see us play consistently and have a crack in the finals, and a couple years down the track, see the boys get a flag... or 2 :gotigers
-
I'm excited every off-season. ;D

Ditto - until reality strikes sometime in late Feb early March ;D

We are still quite a young list but baring injuries and with a bit of luck should make the eight rather than just miss - and then all smooth sailing from 2008 and beyond for a few years me hopes. :santa

If we can finally get a fairly good run with few injuries and especially no more broken bones or knees :P then it's realistic for us to make the finals. Geez we deserve a change of luck. We weren't far away from the lower half of the top 8 this year and we were ordinary/too young. I don't think we'll get pushed around as much by the big boys next year. Still probably two years away though from being a serious contender.
ps. Welcome aboard OER 1965 :).

But probably come about 7th
I'd bet on a top 4 finish if...
Brownie is back to his best,
Tambling fulfills his potential,
Polak can hold down CHB,
KK can Kick 40-50 goals,
and the biggest key is...
Knobel back to good form as a support for Simmo...
:pray

I was at the official opening of the Tiges 2007 season on Sunday - a mate's bbq lol
And we did our best line-up for the opening round.
There were about three or four past regulars who didn't even get a mention, not only in the team but weren't even emergencies :pray
Our depth is improving - we just need a bit of luck with injuries. :pray :pray
There are no excuses (apart from the sky falling in) IMO for at least not making the finals next season.
I can't see that many clubs that are that far ahead of us except for a couple
Be pretty disappoited if we didn't make it.
I've been patient enough and now it's time for them to make me happy lol
Or else :rollin

I think you'll be proven right with Blingers 1965 :thumbsup. He was burning in the centre during the practice match yesterday.

Don't forget Patto. He's coming along nicely at training. Seems to becoming more agile as his body matures. Given Knobel is coming back from a ankle op, Patto would be no. 2 ruckman behind Simmo at the moment.

Patto in 2008, Knobel and Simmo in tandem worked well.

Seriously, I am looking forward to 2007 because there is a lot to look forward too
My personal view is we should play finals next year but I suppose when you've been disappointed so many times in the past .....
Let's just say I trying to not get too excited :thumbsup

I'm more excited than I have been in a fair while, but I'll admit to being a perennial pre-season optimist.
I certainly have faith and hope....just need to find a little more charity to round it out.
-
I must say i'm very excited, but i do try to tell myself that these guys we are pinning our hopes on are still only just turning 19-20 years old.
Once they hit that 24-26 year old mark, then i'll be soiling myself with sheer excitement.

Sound advice WP. I'm excited now but a upset loss to Carlton in round 1 which won't be a easy game by any means would bring out the :banghead very quickly.

every year the preseason goss is good , how much we have improved and the extra spark the new boys will give us, the spin doctors are earning their $$$ and as supporters we like to have our ears tickled when your on the otherside of the country sites like OER are part of your lifeline to the club and you come to depend on the posts to help convince you that this time it will be different
recent audio links, the video footage ive seen, comments posted by regulars all are stirring the belief, the passion and desire within to see our boys take the next step in 07
so yes im excited and am anticipating improvement on last year, but im still a realist with 2 feet on the ground, all i ask is that each player tries their best every minute of every game, support your teammates, take the hard knock, play the team game, success comes hand in hand with commitment, belief and hard work
2007 Tiger Time here's hoping :pray

Well after my 10 year exile from Melbourne, missing just the 2001 finals series, I will be back for the finals in 2007.
:cheers
