How would you guys and gals rate our players in terms of A, B and C grade footballers compared to the rest of the comp?
A grade - consistently perform at a high level, highly skilled, lead from the front and are matchwinners
B grade - solid, decent, regular AFL players
C grade - fringe players, duds :shh or too young to judge
-
My ratings:
A -
B - Newman, Gas, Paddy, Sugar, Tuck, Cogs, Hyde, Tivs, Foley, Raines, Joel, Polo,
Browny (if he can come back pre-leg then back to a A easy)
Lids (potential A),
Simmo (still could become A),
Richo (on his day A+++),
Pettifer (still could become A),
C - Kingsley (based on past year), Knobel, Hall, Jackson, Hartigan, McGuane, Moore,
Krak (up and down from a B),
Tambling (expecting a B in 2007 with the potential to be a A),
Meyer (not regularly playing yet), Schulz (ditto), Patto (ditto), White (ditto), Thursfield (ditto),
Howat (5 good games isn't regular yet),
King (yet to play a game).
Too young - Riewoldt, Edwards, Peterson, JON, Hughes, Casserly, Connors, Collins, Graham, Clingan.

I'd have to say we probably don't have any A players compared to other teams :help
But hopefully with all the youngsters coming through, we'll get there ;)
I pretty much agree with MT's ratings, except I'd have Tivs, Hyde and Tuck bordering between B and C. They need to improve(less turnovers :banghead), but they still get regular games

We have no genuine regular matchwinners sans a fit Brown.
