Doesn't look like the Hawks have learnt from Peter Schwab not to make silly statements about winning the flag :wallywink.
Flag not far off - Robson

THE decision to abandon its training base at Glenferrie for Waverley Park and play games in Tasmania will lead Hawthorn to a premiership within three to five years.
That's the opinion of Hawks chief executive Ian Robson who said Hawthorn and Collingwood were the only Victorian clubs with the off-field infrastructure to close the gap on the powerful interstate clubs.

They obviously now have a crystal ball down at Waverley that can tell them which sides will rise and fall within the next 3 to 5 years and no injuries to their best players ::). 5 years ago the Eagles were a bottom 4 side and Swans were looking for a new coach after Eade got he chop. Over that time frame it is ridiculous to make flag predictions.
Same goes for Neil Daniher pumping up the Dees top 4 chances this year. Just stupid. What happens to that prediction if 4 of their best players do a knee just like the doggies this year.
This is why I cringe when the RFC comes out pumping ourselves up in the media. They might be designed to boost membership sales but they are worthless comments that can only backfire and lead to egg on your face.

Every Victorian team is planning to win the flag in 3 to 5 years. In the meantime teams outside Victoria will plan to, and will, win the next flag. In 3 to 5 years the Victorian teams will plan to win the flag in 3 to 5 years. Meanwhile, the teams outside Victoria will continue to win the flag.
