Yeah he was in 2006 - I read somewhere that he's taking a break from it this year concentrating on work (IIRC he works at AFL Sportready) and family so he isn't at any Club :thumbsup

I hope Foley can be as creative and pinpoint accurate under pressure from the bottom of packs as Broderick.

An excellent player. Had those pool table legs which gave him stability and balance. He was hard to shift off the ball when over it and liked to keep his footing throughout a contest.

Was one of the smarter players we had in the last 15 years as well. There weren't many, but you could guarantee that when he got the ball he would do something creative with it or execute simply and properly if the situation so called for it.

Had he spent his entire career with us he would probably qualify as a tiger champion, but probably just falls short now.

Wish there were more of him. Alas....

Brodders is a champion.
One of the best trades we ever made with him and Butch coming across for Hogg I believe.
Anyway for me his best game was v Port at the G rd 21 1997
He was awesome that day what also sticks out in my mind about that day was that
Duncan Kellaway kicked his first goal in AFL footy.
Biggest impact Brodders ever made Rd 4 2001 Friday night v Pies a 32 point 3 quarter time lead
slipped to a point until Brodders snapped 2 in time on to stop the Collingwood charge.
All in all a champion great disposal and great ball getter.

A Class Act! :clapping :bow

Whenever he got the ball you thought "lookout something magic is about to happen" and opposition supporters thought "uh oh...here comes trouble".
An absolute ball magnet who always knew instinctively what to do with it. Always looked like he was in slow motion but always seemed to have all the time in the world.

If we had a team of guys who applied themselves as much as Brodders we would be a finals team.

He wasn't exceptionally gifted but alwaysb presented and had a never say die attitude.

Legend.
