Title: Taking preseason results seriously
Post by: mightytiges on March 02, 2007, 07:10:00 PM
The Pies today flogged apparently a full-strength Saints side by 8 goals - 15.10-100 to 7.10-52.

Who says you can't take preseason results seriously  :lol

Thanks X. Reminds me to not trust Pies supporters on a magpies forum who were carrying on about the Saints being at full strength  :whistle. LOL @ the Saints fan who told me tonight on the train that the Pies will finish 1 or 2  :rollin.

It must be the heat  :wallywink.

who knows ...

it is always good to win ...

loosing isn't pleasing ...

but margins can be worrying ...

but we defeated Western Bulldogs buy 12 goals last year and then they ... f***ed us up by 118 points ...

so who knows ... just play football and try to win !

Thats very inviting although I am a bit worried about the steering wheel being on the ""wrong"" side. ;)
Like Richo having a left foot. :lol

The only thing you can take seriously in the preseason is how individuals both young and experienced are progressing in ther preparation for the season proper. There is too much experimentation by the coaches for the games results to hold any merit.

True tiga. It says it all that 3 of the 4 NAB Cup semi-finalists finished bottom 4 last year and the other missed the top 8 as well. Most clubs don't care.

the vehicle is on the correct side, its not an aussie built car, rarely gets out of geelong, usually cruises to eastern beach and back home

Is that what your clients do for you X? How can I get a job as a personal trainer???

Seriously, what about client confidentiality, does that exist these days?
