Title: Andrew Demetriou gets $1M a year

Wow!  I suppose that's not out of kilter with other top execs these days, but you'd want to be very accountable that the game is in good condition and thriving.  I suppose with all the TV rights and stuff coming their way, they're doing okay, but I wonder if the game is as good as it used to be.  Debatable, I guess.

Should the CEO of the AFL receive that kind of money? Yeah probably. I don't have any gripes with the CEO earning $1m.

Has Andy D performed for that kind of money? Yeah that's debatable. Overall the game is awashed with $$$ with the new TV rights and sponsorship deals but on the other hand at least half the Clubs aren't financially secure and 4 are on the AFL drip just to survive. The AFL websites which are the main voices of the League and clubs are a joke. Plus the constant rule changes over the past 5 years are ticking a lot of fans (and players?) off.
