WHO is your team's most valuable player? Is it one of your stars or an unheralded team player? Is he a forward or a defender? A key-position player or an on-baller?
The importance of list depth has become increasingly more important, but there are players on every list whose presence is especially vital in their team's best performances.
They are not necessarily your best player, but they are the missing links to your team's best and worst form. They could be the reason your team gives the title a shake this year

With the Tigers' defensive strategies relying on great numbers rather than individuals, Simmonds has become a crucial part of the plans from centre forward. In the middle, he gives his on-ballers first use and up forward he gives the attack another tall forward option to complement Matthew Richardson.
