Based on what a caller on SEN suggested, wouldn't it be great if the greatest living Tiger presented each year the award named after the greatest Tiger of all.
Your ppls thoughts?

kb has to do alot more to get my respect back
-
wouldnt call him the greatest tiger living as any number of candidates could get that award but definately he's in the top bracket with Hart, Bourke and similar ilk.
good idea though to have someone of that nature do it every year.

20 years playing service + 4 years coach, 403 games, 5 flags, 5 B&Fs, Norm Smith medallist, named in the best players in 4 out of those 5 flags too.

Interesting, the there is no major award named after him.
Only the Best and Fairest 5th place is named after Bartlett.

I reckon there will be eventually, Rhett. I'd say there's not already because he hasn't been around the club.
That's not a criticism. :) I'm of the opinion that KB is the greatest living tiger. I'd love him to be back around the place, if and when he's ready. I respect his right to choose if he does or not. He owes the club and supporters nothing.
I just think his stance has made it hard for the club up to now to name awards in recognition of him.

If anyone here hasnt had unresolved personal issues in their lives then you have done well to be so perfect as a human being.
KB's made his name on the field and the stats speak for themselves and in my book no one dare challenge that.Absolute respect for his achievements go without saying.
Unfortunately he got shafted end of 1991 and that bitterness has remained.Being in the public spotlight didnt help his cause at all.Time does heal wounds and it appears that this one is an extremely slow healer.
I dont believe we are in any postition to make a judgement on KB.
If and when he does make himself regularly available to the club,i believe it would be a great tribute to name an award after him.

How about "The least handballs" award?
Or the "Worst comb over" award?
Or the "Most annoying old footballer" award?

PS I saw him play inthe 1980 GF and he was awesome.

People do realise KB broke his 16 year self-imposed exile 2 weeks ago and attended the Richmond-Carlton rivalry club function at the Grand Hyatt Savoy room. Time to move on.

hmm - I saw him in the 1967 grand final.
I also saw him playing for the Try Boys - before he went to Richmond Fourths - he was considered too small - lol

KB is a champ and a great bloke. Always spoke to us at the fish and chip shop at Kerrie Rd on a Friday night. And was a delight to watch when I was a young rover. Mind you, I used the handball much more effectively.
Welcome back KB. :thumbsup

I suspect he'll be working hard at it.
I'd be lying if i said i wasn't happy about him seemingly begining to take a more active profile
in the scheme of things.
