Considering that week by week we get closer to a priority pick...would you consider it a good move for the RFC to trade its top 2 picks for a star player. Id be interested in your suggestions- who would you trade pics 2 & 4 for?

A definite and strong NO from me. Giving up first round picks in the past is partly the reason we so badly lack depth. Firstly, giving up two potential top quality 10 year players on base salary for a star on $$$ is only going to make that situation worse while not improving our side. Brown and Johnson are currently our two best players yet we are going to finish second last. Secondly, a star player may not be around by the time we could see success again whereas two good young blokes will be and will play a major part in us achieving success.
If we're too afraid of drafting another Fiora and Pettifer combo with those tw picks then get rid of our recruiters not the picks.
Anyway here are Richmond first picks we have traded away:
1990: Pick 4 for Terry Keays
1991: Pick 16 for Stevan Jackson
1993: Pick 6 and Jeff Hogg for pick 26, Broderick, M.Gale and Dundas (ok that was a good deal).
1995: Picks 16 & 32 for Ben Holland
1998: Picks 8 & 24 for Hilton and Biddiscombe (Ouch! - missed out on Jude Bolton and David Wojcinski)
1999: Pick 7 & McKee for Pick 3 (Fiora) and Clinton King (ok good trading but poor drafting)
2001: Pick 17 (James Kelly) & Daffy for Stafford
2002: Picks 2 (Wells), 18, 32 & Torney for Johnson and picks 12 (Schulz), 28 (Blumfield) & 41.
2003: Picks 6, 20 for Brown.

If we get picks 2 and 4 in the draft, i dont think there is any player in the league worth both of those picks.
I would howver consider trading pick 4 and a player for a gun recruit like a Judd. It would depend on the player on offer.

2 top draft picks for 1 star player? answer NO NO NONO NONO

If we get two priority picks, I would trade one and keep the other, this is the reason why.
Collingwood made consectutive finals with a team that boasted 10 players in each final recruited from other clubs.
You look at St.Kilda first ten games this year and the following players appeared in there best nearly every week/
Hamill, Gehrig, Powell, Greuerra,Penny,Voss all from other clubs.
We are desperate for leaders at the club so we need a good mix. We dont need hacks from other clubs(Houilhan, Nicholls etc ) but quality players.
You look at the bombers at they have recycled players as Allan and Murphy who have been great for them this year

Spot on Bulluss - for Judd I'd give up pick 4 and throw in Gaspar because I am a generous soul.
Judd is only 20 (?) and also shows great leadership qualities - another thing we despearately need.
But I wouldn't give up pick 2.
Pick 4 yes pick 2 NO

I dont think anyone apart from Judd and J.Brown is worthy of it....and since we probably wont get them, I say no.
