Title: 8 Father-Sons at Punt Rd
Post by: one-eyed on April 27, 2007, 03:34:39 AM: Tony Shaw has written an article in the Age about successful and failed father-sons. We've had a few of both.

Here's the Father-Sons currently on our list:

RICHMOND

Joel Bowden (Michael)

Patrick Bowden (Michael)

Brett Deledio (Wayne)

Brent Hartigan (Dean)

Andrew Krakouer (Jim)

Andrew Raines (Geoff)

Matthew Richardson (Alan)

Shane Tuck (*Michael)

Tony Shaw also included Travis Tuck as a Richmond player in his article. So much knowing Richmond's list ::).

Post by: Fluffy Tiger on April 27, 2007, 04:58:20 AM: mmm, Not sure about Richo or Joel as that goes back a few years and I can remember but non of the others were good enough (at the time) for us to use the father and Son rule to draft them. Hopefull somewhere down the track we have some Jack Hawkings / Gary Abblett type guys comming though.

we didnt pick up raines or paddy with the father son rule

tuck, krak, lids...etc, fathers never played 4 us

The problem is Trevor only played 99 games with us before heading off to Geelong. Imagine Poole jnr turning into a gun AFL player and us missing out on him as a F/S pick by just one bloody game :help.

With the bidding system theyll probably reduce the games quota...but the question is would the kid want to play with us or the cats? and second does anyone know anything about the young boy- it all seems very general at the moment.
