Title: Coburg KPP's
Post by: Bulluss on May 12, 2007, 08:20:59 AM
Given out lack of tall defenders, i am interested in people's thoughts on the key backs that are Coburg listed players.

This week Silvestor is named CHB and Robertson FB, i know that Silvestor is playing down back most of the time but thought Sam was more a ruckman.

Anyone does anyone think some of these type of players could make it on our list?

Robertson's only 193cm, you can get away with rucking at VFL level at that height but if he wants a shot at a rookie spot he'll need to be a KPP so it's good to see him being played there.

Just had a look at some stats.  Rix has had 71 hit outs.  Simmo's had 60 and Patto's only had 36.

Silvestor - very solid again today Bull. Would expect him to make the state squad with the form he is showing at the moment. Great thing about Jarrod is although he has really bulked up this year he still has the speed and agility.

At 22 worth a look I reckon  :thumbsup Perfect build for KP defender

Thought Sam Robertson was good again too across CHB - just love this blokes disposal by foot :clapping

Rix has played 6 games to Patto's 4, and he's doing a bit better statistically.
Simmo has only played 3 1/2 games lacking match fitness and still almost caught him.

I'm sure Rix looked good while getting every one of those stats though.  :)

I have heard that Silvestor is under close watch this season.

Source is very good and if he plays his cards right he will be in the yellow and black next season.

Cutney says you maybe onto something Bull as opposed to on something. ;) :D

Only problem is there are other teams watching too  ;D

I am staggered that Silvestor didn't make in the initial state squad today. Only Neville and Trav Ronaldson made the squad - any time anyone wants to explain that to me goo ahead  :-\

We will have two free rookie spots at least next year  :thumbsup

Tell them to bugger off :yep

It might be an idea to keep two PSD picks free and use the second PSD pick plus our first rookie pick on the Coburg boys if we are interested in two of them.
