Does this means Tivers is dropped forever :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray
-
No way that team will line up like that.
Expect plenty of changes.
-
A caller to SEN asked about Harts and whether he had a future at Punt Rd. Flea said he was a fan of Harts and the way he plays. Said Harts is just coming back from stress fractures in the foot.

True Mr Magic - the entire RFC interchange bench is lsited to play for Coburg. We know of 4 of them wont

Gotta love Harts - I hear he is hoping to be on the ground against the Ds. :gotigers

Gotta love Harts - I hear he is hoping to be on the ground against the Ds. :gotigers
His match fitness would be down though after missing so much footy even if he has a good game against Sandy. He may need more than 2 VFL games just to get back some match fitness.
-
Bump.
Just a reminder the Coburg game starts at 2pm. Radio 1611 am or online www.doublex.com.au

Krak is probably Coburg's best. About 8 touches or so in the middle and up forward.
Connors has doing well driving off half-back.
Browny has had about 5 touches and a goal from the pocket.
Schulz has contested well. Probably even with his Sandy forward opponent.
Harts has been okay.
Jack is Coburg's main forward target.
Haven't heard much of the others.
-
Hartigan seems to be going ok also.
-
Schulz has contested well.
That's good news :thumbsup
-
N.Caruso goal. Browny unselfishly sheperds it through.
Coburg 5.3-33
Sandy 5.3-33

Coburg have stuffed up plenty of goalscoring opportunities this quarter. Two players going for the same ball and overusing the ball.

All Sandy in the last 12-15 minutes. Coburg really poor and couldn't keep possession. Plenty of turnovers. First half of the 2nd quarter Coburg had enough of the footy and goalscoring chances but fluffed most of them.
Hard to find a good Coburg player that quarter. Most in and out of the game. Probably Krak and then Harts. Krak in double figures in possessions and winning a few centre clearances.
Jack getting his hands to contests but the delivery hasn't been crash hot and it sounds as though he's been caught out of position as a result.
Schulz had a dominant cameo halfway through that quarter when he got about 5 touches in the space of 2 minutes crashing and bashing his way through.
Moore took a couple of marks outside 50. The commentators are saying he and Jack need to coordinate better.
Browny would have about 10 touches so far. Had a breather in the middle of the 2nd quarter.
Connors quieter that quarter. 7 kicks overall.
Graham, McGuane haven't done much by the sound of it.
JON, Meyer - unsighted.
-
Coburg getting enough of the footy and the ball has spent a fair bit of time in our forward 50 but we can't score. Difference b/w the sides is Sandy can find marking targets inside 50 and Coburg can't. We're always kicking to packs and Sandy's extra numbers clear and rebound. Miller has 5 for Sandy.
Q3 20 mins
Coburg 6.5-41
Sandy 11.9-75
Goals: N.Caruso 2, Krak, Riewoldt, Browny, Moore
-
Good courage by Graham running back into the pack. Browny free though and goals.
Coburg 7.5-47
Sandy 11.9-75
Goals: N.Caruso 2, Browny 2, Krak, Riewoldt, Moore
-
Schulz moves up forward after Miller got away from him. Marks and goals. Hanging in.
Coburg 8.5-53

Coburg had more of the ball that quarter and more inside 50s. Just didn't have the polish to put it on the scoreboard.
Krak b.o.g. so far. In everything.
Harts doing well in his first game back.
Graham sounded as though he got some important taps in the ruck to our runners.
Jack seems to have moved out to CHF and he was more in the game that quarter.
Our structure seems better with Schulz now at FF.
Jack and Browny starting on the bench.
-

Disappointing game. A number of Coburg and RFC players had ordinary games. Lots of fumbles and off kicks due to Sandy's pressure and a failure to score once we went inside 50. Sounds familiar :-\. Sandy too drilled and experienced for the young Burgers who tried hard.
Krak was easily b.o.g for Coburg. A good 4 quarter effort by Andy. Plenty of the footy and one of the rare Coburg players that looked like they could offer a spark.
The rest of our boys were in and out of the game and some non-existent. JON and Meyer might as well have not turned up.
Graham I thought did well especially in the second half. Sounded like he got his fair share of clean taps and took some marks around the ground and was in the main clean with his disposal.
Harts was good for his second game back and first senior VFL game.
Browny the same. More game time, a couple of goals and a dozen possies. The most important thing for him is to get through and pull up well and painless.
Connors started promisingly in the first quarter but drifted away.
Schulz in defence was beaten by Miller but went forward halfway through the 3rd and finished with 3 goals.
Moore took a few marks around the 50 but didn't do anything damaging with it. Got a couple of goals but they were on the end of good work from others.
Jack was beaten today. Like most of Coburg's forwards today they seem to be caught behind in contests which was frustrating.
McGuane quiet too although I'm not sure who he played on in defence. When Schulz went forward he got Miller and then moved to Sautner during the last. Both didn't do much on him.
Sylvester was best of the Coburg players. Shut out Sandy's goal machine Sautner all day.
-
JON & Meyer both first rounders are struggling. Not good at all.
Why didn't Collins play Schulz up front the all day?
They may have had a chance at winning. :-\

They may have had a chance at winning. :-\
If JON , Meyer and for that matter Schultz cant hold down a spot in a team thats on the bottom of the ladder, they wont make it at AFL level.
People are kidding themselves if they think they will or are on some sort of medication ::)
-
Can tell you that the CFC coaches were happy with JON's game - played to instruction and did his job ;)
Thought Krak was very good. Spent a lot of time in the mid field.
Was very pleased with Hartigan's game after a long lay off with his foot problems.
Danny MEyer I didn't notice until the last qtr - disappointing
Reiwoldt - seemed to lack spark today
Connors - improvong
Graham - solid needs to work in his kicking
Moore - played up forward
Schulz played on Miller who kicked 6. Schuolz started at CHB to counter Sandi's size and height up forward.
McGuane - OK
Brown - moved really well. Played the first 3 qtrs

Encouraging signs: Tiger Nathan Brown move freely in Coburg's clash with Sandringham yesterday. Picture: Colleen Petch
Brown's major step towards Richmond return
12 June 2007 Herald-Sun
Geoff Poulter
RICHMOND forward Nathan Brown took another significant step along the comeback trail with a steady performance in the Coburg Tigers' 29-point loss to Sandringham yesterday.
Brown, returning after complications to a broken leg, had 12 disposals and kicked two goals in about 60 minutes of game time at Coburg City Oval. He was rested for the last quarter.
He looked lively and used the ball well but is expected to line up again with Coburg in Round 10 on Sunday against Frankston.
"To step up after last week (50 minutes in Coburg reserves) was good," Brown said.
"I slipped over a couple of times but I was pretty happy with it.
"I'm not sure what the program is. I will speak to the coach and fitness staff and see what they think."
Brown said he felt no soreness in his right leg.
"It feels good . . . taken a long time so I hope it pulls up well tomorrow and we can keep going forward," Brown said.
"I got a couple of kicks early, should be good for the run. A little bit of extra fitness, and I'll do some fitness work over the next couple of weeks and get back in there. I will be guided by what the fitness coaches tell me."
Sandringham coach Mark Williams praised the performance of forward Brad Miller, who booted six goals to lift the Zebras back to top place.
"He had something like eight contested marks, he was big and strong contesting," Williams said.
Sandy fielded an ultra-tall attack and prolific goalkicker Nick Sautner was kept goal-less by Coburg's close-checking Jarrod Silvester. Melbourne utility Byron Pickett made a couple of dashes but was generally quiet.

Just in terms of thinking about another Coburg rookie for next year, how old is Jarrod Silvester?

he was 22 on 31st Jan this year, therefore still eligible for the rookie list for 2008 by 32 days.
He was short-listed for the rookie list in Dec 2005, but lost out to Howat for the last spot (and Jeremy Humm mmmm....)

We're allowed one mature-age rookie now. ;)
It will be interesting to see if we pick-up a mature rookie. I'd prefer for us to go for some young developing KPP (Thursty) than a mature-age rookie who is just recruited as a temporary back-up with size like Humm.
