Title: Any Tigers worthy of All-Australian this year?
Post by: one-eyed on June 23, 2007, 05:30:18 AM
Any chance of a Tiger making All-Australian this year?

Foley is named as an emergency in Mike's mid-year All-Australian side. Scotty West was picked in front of him.

Polak as a part-timer is 2nd in effective disposals for a ruckman.

i'd say Foley, Polak and Joel would be out best shots but seeing as we have only one win, none of them are likely to get selected

No surprise but no Tigers have made the shortlist for AA defenders on the AFL website.

Nathan Foley is a chance.
There's a poll about this on afl.com.au:

Does Richmond's Nathan Foley deserve selection in this year's All-Australian team?
Yes - 56%
No - 44%

If Foley is the number one player in the AFL for centre clearances, he definitely should get it.

Heath Shaw has been ordinary the last 2 months.

Judd can't make it, not after his last 4 weeks. Even Brad Johnson hasn't been outstanding.

Foley would be the only show for us but going by the names he's up against it's hard to see him getting picked.

The Pies are going to squeal again with no maggie making the shortlist  :rollin
