So you bump into someone you've never met at a nightclub who says he's a fan and you accept a lift. Right .... Nice spin Collingwood :wallywink
Didak was heavily drunk according to Pert. They (presumably Hudson) took Didak back to their bikie hideout then drove him back to the city "driving erratically" with Didak wanting to get out but couldn't. They let him out in the city and he went home by taxi.

The Age's report:
COLLINGWOOD footballer Alan Didak has admitted to police he was with accused CBD killer Christopher Wayne Hudson during a shooting rampage just days before the Hells Angel is alleged to have shot three people - killing one.
Didak, who was interviewed as a witness by members of the armed crime taskforce last night, confirmed he was with Hudson on June 12, when police believed shots were fired from the window of the bikie's black Mercedes. But Magpies chief executive Gary Pert suggested last night that Didak had been held against his will during the "ordeal".
Police have confirmed that Didak was in the King Street strip club, Spearmint Rhino, after the Queen's Birthday game and left with Hudson about 3am.
Police believe Hudson and Didak drove from the nightclub and the bikie then allegedly fired random shots. They have been told the two men then travelled to the Hells Angels' East County Chapter headquarters in Campbellfield. The two later left the headquarters and Hudson drove the car about one kilometre to the Scania truck company's Australian headquarters in Northbourne Road where further shots were fired.
Police were called and Hudson is alleged to have fired several warning shots from the window of the car before driving off. They believe Didak was dropped by the gunman near Southbank after the two shooting incidents about 6am. Later that day he flew to Queensland with teammates for a mid-season break.
Didak has told police he left the nightclub with Hudson, recalls hearing shots fired but blacked out and cannot recall the Campbellfield incident. It is believed that Didak had not met the alleged gunman until the morning of the incident.

So Didak shot the people in the city,eh?
-
Pies won't say anything more about the incident. They said Didak hasn't breached any club rules or state laws. So no punishment ::).
Didak only has sign he'll follow set "behavioural guidelines" and take counselling for alcohol. He's been "put on notice".
-
In the his "statement" Didak said:
"I am only now fully aware of the situation I found myself in"
(the HUN 29/6/07 across the top of pages 2 & 3)
:gobdrop WTF.... is he for real... is he only now "fully aware" because he's just sobered up or simply because he got caught? .... give me a break. Forgive my cynical view on this but I reckon he is "now fully ware" only because he got caught..
Pathetically handled by Collingwood (where's Eddie BTW - surprisingly quiet) and equally poor from the AFL - one set of rules for the rest of the CLubs seperate set for Collingwood :banghead :banghead
-
Eddie was on the radio today. Said nothing new.
Forgetting about hopping in the car with Hudson for the moment but since when was getting totally smashed at a strip club at 3am in the morning within any AFL club's team rules. And it's not the first time Pie players have been involved in off-field incidents. We all remember how Eddie carried on when host of the footy show when other club's players were caught for off-field incidents. The Pies needed Didak against the Hawks especially with Rocca out so they wimped it.
-
Didak made these commitments at conference ::)
No consumption of alcohol
1 am curfew
No nightclubs
Alcohol counselling
Having accepted these conditions - if he doesn't comply end of career at Collingwood

Who cares, Didak is a tosser.

No wonder they are all deluded at the Pies. It must be difficult always being dizzy from so much spinning :yep.
Did Didak answer any questions by himself without Pert needing to chip in and answer them for him :wallywink.

Farce and probably will get more criticism for them :thumbsup
-
you will find that there is a lot more to this story and the reason that the Pies seem to be covering things over a little are due to the ongoing investigation by the Victoria Police.
Collingwood run a very tight ship.
Didak will certainly offered for Trade this year, 100%.

I loved the bit where Pert goes on about this being the toughest measures ever placed on a player at Collingwood and how it's no use suspending a player as it doesn't show there's commitment to the Club. Then why did they suspend Cox and the other young Pies after the Adelaide game if suspension is now considered to be pointless.

They could have had Nick Stevens in a direct swap for Didak yet they played hardball and Port told them to shove it. The Pies are full of themselves.

More AFL footballers in trouble with their club. This time Dons' Richie Cole and Leroy Jetta dropped to the Bendigo ressies for a couple of weeks for staying out too late.
