Noticed Leigh Montagna won it and it was presented to him by Christie Malthouse when she was interviewing him?
Is this an official medal between the two clubs or is it a Channel 10 thing?
And if so, can't they do a proper presentation ::)
-
its obviously not held highly in the football world when a boundry rider presents it
-
No it must not be highly regarded as Christie was holding it pre game and talking to Danielle Harvey. Now that Montagna won it I know its true worth, definentely not as valuable as the Dreamtime medal given to Hird for his average game that night even thiugh if Harvey won it last nite he would have been a more appropriate winner than Hird in Rd 9 :thumbsup

It is something the 2 clubs put together, they were talking about it on the radio last night pre-game.

Ch 10 commentators pick the winner. Apparently it's been going for 3 years according to the RFC site. We haven't win a game in that time so that's probably why we haven't noticed :P.
Channel Ten will present the winner of the Ian Stewart Medal to the player judged best-on-ground by the network’s team of football broadcasters, following this Saturday night’s match.
