Agree.
Came into our work one day. Hey, look at me, I'm Stan Zemanek lol
Ultimate in shock jock cringe radio. Glad Melbourne people came to their senses and he was sent packing back to Sydney.
Err, RIP Stan lol
Serious, I'm sure someone will miss him, so sympathies to them whoever they may be [scratching head]!

Agree Moi. Cringe radio :chuck
They had this bloke on 3aw the other day saying it was all put-on. That he and Zemanek visited the US when shock jock radio was just taking off over there. I can't remember if it was this bloke or someone else turned to Zemanek and said that's what we're going to get you to do in Oz. Probably crap but that's what this bloke claimed.

The world is a better place with the passing of Stan.

Mike Carlton paid his tribute to him on Sydney radio today when a caller asked why he wasn't going to the funeral: I don't want to be seen as a hypocrite, I couldn't stand the guy.
:rollin

I saw an ad tonight about a tribute to him on W channel on the weekend.
I think nobody watches that channel.

i didn't hate him.
Actually enjoyed the way he toyed with the "know-all" women
on Beauty and the Beast.
Would much rather see John Howard or Stev Bracks die

He was a shocker on 3AW a couple of years ago!
I'm with you on one of the above though :thumbsup

I saw Rove McMannus die once. He was doing a stand-up comedy routine. Not surprising, he's as funny as Fred Bassett.

How's Derryn going these days?
Any hope there??

Stan actually did Melbourne radio a great service. ;)
He was a straight swap for Steve Price. When Stan went packing back to Sydney, Price stayed there too.

My ex boss Peter Maher stepped in for a while and is rumoured to be a replacement for Hinchy.
Now you wanna hear bad radio, wait till he comes on lol

RADIO cellar-dweller Mike Carlton hit a disgusting new low yesterday, continuing his career-long assault on colleague Stan Zemanek by saying he "loathed" and "hated" Zemanek - as his family prepared to bury him.
Responding to a caller's question about why he wouldn't be at Zemanek's funeral, Carlton said: "I'd only go to check that he was actually dead."
It would be "an act of sheer hypocrisy ... I loathed him", Carlton said.
On-air partner Peter FitzSimons - who joined the show last year in a desperate bid to rescue Carlton's paltry ratings - did his best to cut his mate off, but Carlton continued, saying: "I don't like Stan and he didn't like me and I'm not going to be hypocritical and turn up."
Even Carlton's colleagues attacked him, with 2UE afternoon host Steve Price, who attended the funeral, opening his show by condemning Carlton.
"Just shut up and say nothing. It was really bad taste and bad behaviour," Price said.
Carlton's hatred for Zemanek can be traced back almost 30 years when Carlton was dropped from 2UE's morning show to make way for John Laws - with Zemanek as producer.
The Zemanek family tried to avoid the furore brewing on the airwaves.
"Today is a celebration of Stan's life and we'd really rather today have been a day of celebration and love for a remarkable man, to just focus on the positive," friend Prue Macsween said.
A source said Carlton "wouldn't have been handling the fact that Stan's had four or five days in the spotlight - even though he's dead".
