Title: Should our players start a massive brawl and draw a line in the sand!
Post by: Ramps on July 23, 2007, 10:11:22 PM
One thing i dont like is the timidness of our players, the fact they dont back each other up and the lack of aggression. Should our players do what Hawthorn did and start a brawl...draw a line in the sand. Sure the fines will be huge, but to me it seems that the player group dont actually care about whether there teammates succeed in footy. In a war you always look out for your mates, at RFC its every man for himself. Who agrees or disagrees- should our players start some massive brawl in some game in the next few weeks.

Yes or
No.

sometimes jacko you gotta get into a brawl even though you know you could get your head kicked in...you do it to back up your mates...im not advocating violence but i wanna see some intent from our players...our players have no intent when they tackle or anything.

Draw the line in round 22 against the saints.  Tivendale and Fiora can go at each other on the outer wing at the dome. ::)

Ill say this about Jake King, the young man is no superstar but atleast he has a fair dinkum crack, and shows some intent.

I quite enjoyed seeing the throwing of the mouthguard on sunday...that lad has got a bit of tiger in him...would have been better if he had hit the umpire...now THAT would have impressed hell out of me...

I reckon Kingy and Newy would have a good crack.

Jack would have a crack but would be no help atm.  :shh  :lol

Apart from that, err, Schulz might, Connors and JoN sure would if they were in.

The stocks are low, I think we'd lose  . . . . again!  :scream

Yes, yes, yes.
IMO, I don't care about fines, loose change to the players. They need to show some grunt, stick up for each other. Seeing that Lions player a couple weeks ago (forget who it was) deck Davey after he decked his team mate brought a smile to my face lol. I want to see the Tigers do that :lol

Haha, how many weeks does b*tch slapping get?

"Stop it, you broke my nail"
"You started it!"

I would support it. At least this way we would see who has got the balls to stand up for their mates. I remember watching one brawl it was a Hawks brawl. I watch Dunstall take a few steps back and knew he was gutless. But Dermie came running in from a long distance. And this is what shows us who you can rely on. So bugger the fines it is time for us to stand up and be counted.

Its time to fly the flag, working class yellow & black, when Deledio comes back he should start it off and then the other blokes can come in and have a go (im losing it, im actually laughing as i write this), as i said its time to fly the flag for working class yellow and black, i knew the yuppie influence in Richmond would screw our club.

I reckon Petts would give it a red hot go. He could run down the ground and be like a little foxy nipping at big bad bazzas heels - mmmm priceless! ::)

Simmo should bring along his 7ft carpet python and get it to wrap itself around the footy. Simmo 21838382832384882 possessions and 34929 goals; the other 41 players nil  ;D.

You can't do it these days but in the past you would draw a line in the sand next week against Geelong on their home turf. No one has been able to match them footy-wise so test their hotheads who have been able to control their aggression this year and haven't showed that handbag reputation so far. Try getting them unfocused. We'll most likely get thumped anyway as the Hawks did when they tried drawing a line in the sand a few years ago. I wonder how many Cats' players would risk missing games so close to the finals if say a Kingy or Connors ran off the corner of the square with a fair hip and shoulder on a fan favourite at the first bounce. One thing is for sure the ferals down there would want to jump the fence if it ever happened.
