Refreshing to see him confess his soul, unlike Cousins who got everyone including his father to front the media. Such a wimp :wallywink
I've only seen Jeff once in real life, and not surprisingly after the revelations today, was at Dan Murphys.
Not really sure I've ever liked him as a player, but wish him luck with this.
At least he's grown up enough to admit his faults and that he's stuffed up a bit.
Will his rehab be paid by the AFL? Fat chance! Will Andy get on a plane and visit him and see what the AFL can do for him? Highly unlikely.
Still peeed off at the heroes welcome Ben got on the weekend - great player, pathetic person! And not because he's got a substance problem, but just his character. Weak as you know what!

*spits*
another Footballer to be permitted to escape the scrutiny of their actions
through publicly announcing he is,"officially dependent" on alcohol"
Everybody gets on the drink in football circles but some are just dickeheads.
They're dicheads when they're sober and dikcheads when they're drunk.
They want attention for whatever reason and when they get it,they play the victim.
Look at Wayne Carey.
Since the days of Ted Whitten beating the hell out of his wife, these guys have been treated like gangsters - what an emabarassment to the gangster fraternity ::)
IMO,Ted Whiten is the blueprint for the s hitman Aussie male that gets drunk, acts like a hero at the "club",comes home and belts the wife.
What's next,a player does a press confernece announcing he has a problem murdering people
but is let off because "he announced it and is making progress"
joke.

I bet the race card won't get him a heroes welcome ala white boy, Benny who gets a standing ovation and Uncle Andy tucking him into bed lol
He'll get the same tolerance as his brudders and them Injuns :rollin

Sorry, I must have missed something, was Jeffrey blaming someone else?
Did he get his daddy to come out and say sorry on his behalf?

Ur entitled to your opinion, say what you like.
But it's funny how someone can congratulate someone for being honest and upfront, just one human being to another, and suddenly his race/ethnicity comes into the equation.
The guy was honest, and did it without his club and a team of lawyers backing him up.

Dont worry about it Jeff, its all sweet
Have another drink and chill out :cheers

I wonder if drinking is his excuse for his eye-gouging, hair pulling and sniping on the field?

He didn't say, Fish ::)
-
My point is he's got "form" on and off the field.
I doubt he's drunk when he's playing footy yet he still behaves anti-socially.
Yeah, agree it's good he's come out and admitted he's got a problem. I reckon that would be hard to do.
His drinking being the excuse for being an rsehole doesn't cut it with me though and, the way I see it, that's the reason he's done it.
-
Maybe Chris Judd should take up drinking and give him an excuse for his anti-social behaviour.
Oh sorry, he wasn't guilty of anything - my bad ::)
-
That's rolleyes 2 posts in a row. ;)
I think know what you're refering to about Judd (vs Hawks?) but I don't know how that compares to Farmer's repeat offences or his off field behaviour.
-
I think in my original post I said I didn't think much of him as a footballer, but admired the way he handled this situation in comparison to the daddy's boy.
I don't condone eye gouging or anything similar!
-
Fair enough. I agree with the sentiments of your original post re Farmer compared to Cousins.
I was adding my 2c on Farmer alone and not responding to your original post. I never thought you were condoning his actions.
I think he's a fantastic footballer. I was arguing that I think he's not a nice person, drink or no drink.

he's just a dikchead.......that's all.
Only fessed up cos he saw xousins do it and thought it would work for him..
Not too bright either :lol
