There's a new poll on the RFC site which askes which Richmond player will poll the most votes in the Brownlow Medal out of Lids, Foley, Richo, Joel and Polak.
Thoughts?

Foley for me. Possibly Richo

Foley then Richo.

Foley
Richo
Bowden
-
Foley, he's been an absolute gun this season :clapping
Quite unlikely given the position we are in, but I hope he gets AA selection :thumbsup
-
If Nathan Foley doesn't poll well in the Brownlow there is something seriously wrong.....
But then again we are talking about the group of blokes who constantly guess when it comes to the hands in the back rule ::) ::)
-
deledio with about 10 :thumbsup
foley just behind
my feeling is that lids has played a couple of big games eg both essendon matches and could possibly get 3 votes from each game.
foley will probably snag a 1 vote here and there mostly due to the fact we haven't been winning
-
Would have to be Foley with the dash he has shown. Folowed by Deledio but I think he will be at least 10 points behind.
-
With only 3.5 wins for the year we won't get many 3 and 2 votes but the umps like Richo in the Brownlow. He's hard to miss seeing especially when we are winning and he's picking up a lazy 15 marks.
Richo 8
Foley 7
Lids 6
Joel 4
Polak 4

I can see Hird getting the 3 votes for the first Essendon clash. After all he did get the dreamtime medal for his 15 or so possessions. :scream
Knowing that I would say Lids might only get the two votes for that match. :scream

Richardson not so rough for Tigers
11 September 2007 Herald Sun
Jon Anderson
MATTHEW Richardson is the value runner in the quest to find out who will poll most votes for Richmond in this year's Brownlow medal.
TAB Sportsbet, in a betting market that deals specifically with each club, has Richardson a $6 third favourite behind Nathan Foley to be top Tiger on Brownlow night.
Richardson's ability to take contested marks, keep presenting and play the game in a scrupulously fair fashion ensures he will attract umpire attention, even in a year as bad as Richmond's.
The key to Richmond may well be identifying who played well in its three wins. For instance when the Tigers beat Essendon in Round 21, Richardson took a lazy 15 marks and was in the best along with Joel Bowden and Brett Deledio.
And "Richo" has had a habit of polling well over the journey as 106 career votes suggests, whereas Foley is the unknown factor.
Just because he will be a deserving and runaway winner of the club's best and fairest doesn't guarantee Brownlow votes.
There have been plenty of Brownlow winners who haven't finished top three in their club B&Fs. Or in reverse, there are cases like Geelong's Matthew Scarlett. In 2003 he won his club award by 130 votes yet polled just five in the Brownlow.
TOP TIGERS
$2 Nathan Foley, $3.75 Joel Bowden, $4 Brett Deledio, $6 Matthew Richardson.
BEST RECENT FINISHES
2006: Richardson (10)
2005: Mark Coughlan (10)
2004: Richardson (10)
2003: Coughlan (16)
2002: Richardson (12)

Agree, solid logic. Richo has traditionally polled top votes when Richmond win, he has >10 grabs and he also kicks a few.
Foley cant win with 22# 1 votes can he ? :lol

Complete Brownlow Medal Guide – Richmond
1:21 PM Sun 23 September, 2007
for richmondfc.com.au
Who’s invited: Kane Johnson, Brett Deledio, Nathan Foley, Graham Polak, Matthew Richardson
2007 All-Australians: None
Betting: Nathan Foley 201, Brett Deledio 801, Joel Bowden 801
Ineligible: Daniel Jackson
Leading vote-getter in 2006: Troy Simmonds (11)
Past winners: Stan Judkins (1930 tied), Bill Morris (1948), Roy Wright (1952 tied, 1954), Ian Stewart (1971)
afl.com.au predicts the top three vote-getters and why:
After what has been a bleak year at Punt Rd, the words Brownlow and Richmond don’t really go hand in hand. Nevertheless, in a season that saw the Tigers win only three-and-a-half games and finish bottom of the ladder, there was one shining light in midfielder Nathan Foley. The 22-year-old should poll well and will give the Tigers much hope going into next year.
Nathan Foley
One of the few positives in a poor year at Tigerland, Foley’s performances gave the Tigers’ faithful something to cheer about. A consistent performer all year, Foley averaged 24 possessions and had a career high 35 disposals in the club’s heavy round 18 loss to the Cats. Just elevated from the rookie list last year, 2007 has seen a sharp rise to prominence for the midfielder who isn’t the tallest competitor around, but makes up for his size with his endeavour and talent.
Brett Deledio
The 20-year-old had another solid season, averaging 18 disposals and showing yet again the class that secured him the 2005 NAB Rising Star accolade. Despite suffering a broken bone in his hand in round 14 against the Kangaroos, he returned only three weeks later to aid the team’s cause against the Cats. As one of the club’s brightest prospects, Tigers’ fans will be hoping that even further improvement from the midfielder can help them turn around their fortunes in 2008.
Matthew Richardson
The much-loved Richo should poll well. The 32-year-old kicked 53 goals and showed immense courage to return a week after fracturing his eye socket despite being expected to miss up to six rounds. No doubt Richmond fans will be hoping that this Tiger can stay on and help see the club through what is a testing time for at least another couple of years.

I sticking to thinking Boomer Harvey will win it. I think Geelong players will take votes off each other.
Richo the leading Tiger. It would be ironic if he gets 3 votes in the dreamtime game.

Surely he'll get votes in that round. Enough eye catching in and under stuff and a goal straight from the centre with a couple of bounces.

It always seems to be the way that breakout years like Axel's aren't rewarded in the Brownlow. Now he's got a name the umps will notice him more next year.

Jimmy's a gun and a great guy.
Thoroughly deserved. :thumbsup

If you don't mind, umpire
25 September 2007 Herald Sun
Chris Muirden
SOME things just don't add up at the Brownlow Medal.
YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS
SIMON Black was rated a $101 chance with TAB Sportsbet, but by Round 10 he had polled 17 votes. While his three votes in Round 9 against the Pies was understandable (he had 37 touches), the following week he had just 16 touches and Tiger Daniel Jackson was widely acclaimed for keeping him in check. Not so, according to the men in white, who gave him three.
WINNERS ARE GRINNERS
THE trend by the umps to place greater emphasis on giving votes to winning teams continued last night. Geelong polled 106 votes, missing the three in just four games (all losses). Richmond, Carlton and Melbourne combined for just 115 votes.
Geelong 106
Port Adelaide 88
West Coast 82
Kangaroos 78
Hawthorn 78
Sydney 77
Adelaide 73
Brisbane 70
St Kilda 68
Fremantle 65
Collingwood 55
Essendon 53
Bulldogs 48
Melbourne 43
Carlton 39
Richmond 33 (Bartel won with 29 :-\ )
