To follow on from the surprise thread....
Which Tiger did you think would improve or even had a blinder this year yet for whatever reason didn't?
-
Schulz - Thought this was his year to break out.
Raines - Starting to think now if he had of won the Rising Star it'd be along the lines of Woewodin winning the Brownlow, a one season wonder.
Oakley-Nicholls - Only young and injury hit but I can't see any positives with him.
Johnson - Only started to play well in round 21
-
No question - Jackstar

To me it was Johnson. Needed to show more leadership on the ground at certain critical times especially early in the season when opposing teams got run ons and began to threaten leads we had made by the third quarter. Eg Carlton and Collingwood games in Round 1 and 3 were the glaring ones for me. Then unfortunantely the rot set in for him and it took almost till the last month of the season to dig himself free of that huge hole.
Krakouer has been a project of the RFC from 2001 from the Spud era and unfortunantely has failed abysmally. All the time effort faith was rewarded in a pre season brawl in Perth which has finished him as an AFL player. Nevertheless he lacked consistency and that plagued him. Could not get to the next level and unfortunantely never will. One good game every 7 or 8 matches is just not good enough.

Captain Kane :(
-
Schulz and Meyer - workrate or lack of it.
Gas - I know he would've been ticked off about the change in direction after just 5 rounds when we decided to go with the cubs, but to think he was too good for the VFL was poor IMO. Unlike Tivs who despite all his detractors was similarly dropped but didn't sulk and instead came out and showed he was above VFL level.

Schultz and Meyer. Believe Raines is just having the year that Lids had last year and will come good next year.
-
In no particular order:
1. Meyer - so much talent so much non-intensity and desire - well at least that's how it appears
2. Schulz - took himself out of the junior leadership group because he wanted to concentrat on establishing himself. Look he does alot of things that go unnoticed (1% ers) but I just thought he would been a pernmant senior fixutre this year
3 Raines - don't know what it is/was but I just thought he tried too hard all year in being the main bloke running the lines and trying to take every opponent on and he got caught out far too much. Hopefully like Lids it will be the learning curve year he needs
-
Meyer - What's with this kid?
Schulz - Some bad kicking form ruined his year. He could turn it around I think but has looked a bit sulky for mine. What's the story here?
Hughes - Young I know but as soft as very warm, extra spreadable butter. I have been really disappointed with some of the stuff I've seen from him. Prove me wrong Cleve, I dare you.

Have to say my boy Rainsey had a poo year.
Johnson has let us down I reckon big time.
Wonder why Meyer even bothers playing the game. All the skill in the world, not much else.

Easy to answer, it's Kane Johnson and followed closely by Tambling.
