Michael Mitchells running goal at the SCG in,i think,90.
Was there and was by far the only highlight of the day.
Was so easy too........

One for a Richmond fan I sat in front of years ago (late 80's or thereabouts).
We were getting smashed, as was usual in that year. Suddenly, a dog ran onto the ground and stopped the play. No idea how a dog got into the MCG, let alone onto it.
A bloke behind me was up in a flash and screaming at the top of his voice towards the Richmond bench, "Leave the dog on and take Laffy off!"
Don't know if it would make a good ad but was bloody hilarious.

Leg injuries stuffed up Laffy from early on. He wasn't a bad junior footballer before that.
Scotty Turner in the 95 SF would make a good ad. Shirtfront followed by kicking the winning goal while tackled after playing on :bow.

Early 80's at the G. I was on the fence at the city end where they had the big concrete slab.
Essendon v Richmond, this was a bloodbath off the field.
I was only 16 or 17 so stayed pretty much 'well' out of it.
Never seen blues like that right up until today.
From memory remember the Broady chant.
These were the days u could take stubbies to the game or at least get away with it.
I remember at one stage a lot of us kids were up against the fence ready to take to the ground during play it got that violent.
Remember leaving the ground and ambulances were queued up brunton avenue.
Was scary stuff.

It's amazing what you remember from old games sometimes. I can remember Dorotich missing but not Cambo having 41 possessions and kicking 4 goals :o.

Dorotich misses at the 30 minute mark of the third quarter and perhaps things in Campo's game that day are more lucid, but b/c that miss happens with virtually the last kick of the day we vividly and fondly remember it as opposed to other more noteworthy things.
Much like Richo's push on Mal Michael in round 9. Assume that event occurs 7 minutes into the first quarter then all the fanfare regarding it is non existent and therefore not deemed game bearing.

Richo's falling down goal against Hawthorn with Hay dragging him through the points yet Richo's hand and foot and the ball still in play would be a classic to repeat :thumbsup.

Another Royce moment was him coming on the ground after half-time on one knee in the 1973 PF with us 6 goals down and spurring the Tiges to a comeback victory over the Pies and then the flag the following week :thumbsup.
