Lids is next.
Lids played 19 games this year (missed three due to his broken hand), averaging 18.4 disposals (7th best Tiger) and 5.4 marks. He also kicked 21 goals. Lids has now played 62 matches in his 3 years at Punt Rd.

How did we all rate Lids' year?
-
Not being able to each and every game due to where I am and what they show us.
I think his year was consistant and solid.
With a few jitters along the way, but the man is young, and we have to allow for these.
A captain in the making, maybe.

deledio had a couple of issues during the yr, mainly because he was playing a role that he should never be playing. he struggles with a tag, but experience will settle that, at early on was playing a little relunctant and soft. but he came back with a vengence and starting winning heaps of hard ball and is definatley better playing in the fwd half than the back half and midfeild. lids imo isnt an inside mid, whereas tambling is. its taken this long for terry to work that out.
lids had a very good and underrated year. he will finish top 4 in our b and f

Improved again which is great but would hope he really goes up another notch next year. he is after all our no1 draft selection.
Played half back, on the ball and up front.
Personally I'd like to see him as a permanent fixture in the front half. Looks a natural forward to me.
7.5/10

Thought his year was average up till he broke his hand, after he came back he seemed to lift in intensity.
He misses too many set shots at goal yet every time I go to training he's one of the last to come in, spends a lot of time at the end of the session having set shots on goal.
-
impressive year, his form after the injury was a taste of what he can do. Should play that forward/midfield hybrid role from now on
08 = Lids breakout year :thumbsup
-
A top 5 finish in the B&F suggests he had a pretty good season overall.
-
Cute ;) :thumbsup
-
Have to agree was a different player when he came back from that broken hand.
Playing the different roles I think was just part of his education and that's what he needed.
I was very happy with his year
7.75/10

Last year Lids had the yips but this year he had a pretty decent record - 21.10. Agree entirely with the rest Beren. 11 goals in the last 4 games showed the damage Lids can do. 2008 will be exciting to watch :thumbsup.

Brian Royal RFC review
Brett Deledio
In his last five games after coming back from a broken hand, he played much better football, and suggests to us he is going to be a really good forward for Richmond heading into the future. I would say Brett probably wouldn’t think he had as good a year as he did last year.

Has Royal got a clue?
Lids finished 5th in the B&F.
Maybe someone should do a review of Brian's year.

He wasn't playing in 04 . You can't pin that on him.
Still I agree he has plenty to prove.
-
He played about 3-4 good games offset by 3-4 poor games, the rest were so-so. So for a player who is pretty much a walk up start I would give him a 4.5 / 10.
5th in B&F is great- except it came against very little competition. His season wouldn't have got a 5th placing at many teams in the AFL.

Actually Deledio only has one spoon.

Sauce tells me Deledio is dominating the D Grade basketball on Wednesday nights at Albert Park....
Almost dunked it last week...

He's copying Plough.

terrible year. he thinks he is chris judd and he is far from it.
4/10

Reckon it's more some fans expecting him to be Judd. Lids' second half of the year was good and he's still only 20. He's the least of our worries.

sorry but that is your assumption that he "thinks he is Judd", i have never heard Brett say anything of the kind.
unless you want to pull a quote from somewhere.
-
he doesnt have to say it roger rasheed u can see it.
and yes mighty tiges is right he is only 20 least of our concerns

If Lids wants to be perceived to be a top liner he needs to get more consistency into his game and take more games by the scruff of her neck to influence their final results. I thought he was good and he had improved from his 2006. Hopefully he keeps on improving. He's been in the system for 3 seasons and he must learn to face the pressure of a highly charged environment that is starved of team success.
-
i was pretty happy with his year, liked his game when he went forward later in the season. Stints up forward getting say 2 goals a game plus time in the action in midfield will make him a very good player for us.

Agree HT74. I think we started to see the first signs of him influcencing the result of games towards the end of the season. The 5 goal game that Ramps already mentioned and that last quarter goal on the run against Essendon.
-
He's still finding his feet, progressing slowly but surely, second half of last year was the best I have seen from him. No problems here.
