Title: Hutchinson
Post by: om21 on August 05, 2004, 10:07:53 AM
Is it just me or does anyone else think this bloke is a complete waste of time and is cancerous to our club? I literally feel like jumping out of the aisle when I see him walking down with that stupid magnetic board with the players names.....

I just think he offers nothing and does more harm than good.....but I fear that he is closely associated with Miller which means the idiot will most likely remain at the club.

Your thoughts?

I must admit I don't understand Hutchison's role at the Club. I'm not sure why we have a Director of Football in Miller as well as a Football Manager in Hutchison. From the outside looking in it looks like we are doubling up in that area as other clubs don't have two people. For instance Balmey is sole footy manager at the Pies (then again they want to introduce a new role there for Eade don't they). Is the job becoming too big for one person now?

It is an interesting situation. They way I look at it is Greg Miller runs the footy department - overseas everything but has big role in recruiting not only coaches ;) but players as well. We all know that Greg Miller spends a lot of time watching juniors etc as part of his role. He doesn't have a presence in the coaches box on match where as a Footy Operation Manager does. I think that Miller probably plays a bigger role in contract negotiations rather than the Club's CEO. At most Clubs the CEO does the contract negotiations.

I believe Greg Hutchison role is similar to Balmey's in that his is job is footy operations. This would include being in the coaches box on match days, the day to day running of the footy department (costs, co-ordinating player appearances and media comittements etc) and I don't think there is great involvement in recruting.

Hutchison opens Millers mail, gets him coffee, takes his messages, and washes his car for him.

If Miller asks him to wear a short skirt to work, he'll do that as well.

The answer is NO !
Both he and Britain think they are very important people.
Wake up call boys, you come from clubs who had a ""loser mentality"" at the time you were there and now they have kept our club tarnished as well.
Get rid of both.
Both are sacked Ex- Coaches arent they ?

I love the way Hutchy prances around the joint, must think he owns the joint! :rollin
