Mate there wasn't a lot we could do we had to sit and wait. If West Coast have caved then that's their weakness not ours.

what have we got to trade in the first place apart from a bag of marbles, miller has stated on afl. that things are pretty quiet....

happy to keep the picks and stay on the path we have chosen.

because we could have had judd or kruezer

thats why

wce still would have got cotchin at pick 2

so as bull stated in another thread, wce betetr give us mitch for nothing and the morton boys better live up to their dads reputation

and lets hope we get dowler or boyle for meyer and that mclean falls through to the psd

iwe also get screwed cos the system sucks and has favoured the blues . we finished last and they get judd

f the afl, and f that old rich bastard pratt

If we got 16 for Schulz then we have 2 16 18 19 35 and 51 - 4 picks in top 20 not bad at all. Although I expect Morton will cost us 19 and get us 30. At this stage, Id be keeping the picks and trying to get another pick as well if if possible inside the top 20.

If we do smart recruiting then that's a good result IMO. Getting a big name in the PSD would be a bonus but if no big name other than Judd wants to leave their club then there's no much the RFC can do. We've still got our picks (slightly better picks after the Schulz trade) so now that Judd is out the way let's just continue drafting and developing our own players. Pick 16 may get us Scott Selwood now as Geelong with Pick 17 were interested in him.

thats the problem MT, there is no confidence in our recruiting.

I hope that it is on the money, but the record isnt good.

Its good to see other clubs make bad judgements. I dont need to remind you about JON and Meyer do I.
They are nearly the worst two players on an AFL List! ::)

KPPs always have trade value. Anyway we'll see how Sarge goes with the Burgoynes, Cornes and co feeding him if he plays up forward. Port might even use him down back like they did with Thurstans.

I think its fair to say that unless its been well hidden there is no big name player. That will be a disappointing result. As I stated in other threads, getting a Morton and a Hooper will be a fail. It could not be considered a pass. Attaining 16 for Schulz is a plus if true. But at this stage, whilst its fair to say we did have a fair dinkum crack our supporters wont be happy come friday afternoon. At this stage, Id be keeping the picks not trading for Morton tonight or tomorrow, If the Eagles want cotchin then they can cough up 3 + 13 for 2 and 35. And that would make this trade period a success atleast in terms of getting early picks.

Maybe Rodan and Sarge might laugh all the way to the Grand Final next year to prove once and for all that it may not be the players that are bad at Richmond it might be the environment that produces these poor results.

well "Jackstar" ... i agree with you on "JON" ... not Meyer ... i don't understand what "THEY" (Terry, Greg) see in him ... i watched the Coburg Grand Final and he was so slow ... and seems lanky ... even though he is skinny ??? ...

also ... he was No.8 pick right ???

if shultz goes ... that is another top 10 or what ever jay was that was useless in the end ...

Jay was drafted by Danny's years ... also Rodan and many more ...

please draft Cotchin Richmond
