Richmond’s Director of Football, Greg Miller, has revealed to Tiger members his thoughts on the preferred candidate for the Club’s coaching position to replace Danny Frawley.

In his exclusive column for ‘Eye of the Tiger’, the RFC members’ only section on the Club’s official website, Miller underlined the importance of confidentiality to the whole process of the coaching appointment and was careful to avoid “naming names”. He did, however, explain why one candidate had made it to the top of the Tigers’ wish list.

“All I can say to you, the Richmond people, is that it’s been a thorough investigation – as you would expect, Miller said.

“The criteria and character of the person has been comprehensively assessed against what we know the Club needs right now.

“We’re convinced that we’ve prioritised the right person, and now we’ll leave no stone unturned to get him to Punt Road . . . We’ll certainly need to sell the fact that our playing list is advanced and we have made significant progress in the past 12 months, particularly in reshaping the list for future September action . . .”

Miller acknowledged there was still “work to be done” to snare the coach in question and he was unable to give a time-frame of when that might occur, although he did expect sooner rather than later.

Duh, sounds like there's no news at the club this week for something like this to be printed.
I think every RFC fan would be expecting them to be doing all these things.

That article doesn’t give much, but for those who can access EOTT, it gives a bit more info., without giving anything away.

No doubt intended to settle some of the hype that may have been created by the articles in the Australian on Monday and to also keep us informed, even if they can't say much.

On the 1.00pm news they said that Terry Wallace had spent 4 hours  :o giving a presentation to the Hawthorn board.

One of the grabs was Terry saying that he had a clear picture of where the Tigers were heading and that was one the of the reason he had the meeting with Hawthorn - to get the same information so he can make his decision

Not like it's a surprise but IMO that line in bold type gives away that Wallace is numero uno choice. Funny that Terry was quoted as saying the exact same thing  :thumbsup
