Tigers football director Greg Miller said last night he expected to have an answer from Wallace by Monday. He denied Richmond had formally offered Wallace the job but said the ball was in his court.
Wallace also said:
* He won't go to Hawthorn if Don Scott doesn't back down.
* Could still decide to not coach and stay in the media if the political situation at both clubs is too volatile.
* Wallace said he had not talked terms or money with either club. "I've got the information that I need on both clubs. I'll want to just have a bit of time-out now," he said. "It's a case of information overload at the moment. I just have to sit down and work it all out. I haven't had an official offer of either job. I'm just doing my homework."
The fact the Tigers' boardroom scuffle has been put on hold means Richmond still has the front-running.
