In a good team (1995) he seemed good.
He was at that right age 25, and was a handy player, never going to be a star though.
-
Effective without being spectacular.
Jack Dyer would have called him a good ordinary player. :thumbsup
-
Bulluss wasn't the greatest kick but the other aspects of his game were very good which made him a handy defender at the time. A late starter to AFL and in the end injuries meant his time at Richmond wasn't that long.

Cult hero to some - it was the hair I reckon ;D
-
I was always a fan of Bulluss.
Disposal let him down a bit but was a fantastic mark and also a gallant defender.
Played some good games for us.
-
took a massive specie one year!

Speaking of Bullus - where's Bully been of late?
-
Tough uncoordinated trier.
The epitome of the average Richmond footballer over the last 25 years. :(
-
Was it Bulluss who almost cost us a close game where he gave away a stupid 50m penalty late on but then redeemed himself by taking a mark up forward and kicked the winning goal?

He's still around here :thumbsup

Surely everyone must remember the night game, i think we may have beaten Collingwood and the camera was in the race as the players walked down.
Bulluss held up one finger and said to the camera that "we were back as #1" or something similar to that.
Wasnt the brightest spark going around.
-
BTW I reckon he had great courage :thumbsup

Yeah i remember that MT, from memory i think it was against Freo at Subiaco. Was a great win IIRC.

Certainly was round 16 1995 we beat Freo by 7 points 10 14 74 to 9 13 67.
John Northey famously said post match on CH 7 he'd have had Bulluss by the nuts if we had lost that game without him making up for it with that goal back in the days when ch 7 had double headers on Sunday afternoons.

Cheers guys.
Wasnt the brightest spark going around.
From BF a few years ago :lol

read somewhere that Bulluss was walking off the MCG after a game and the groundsmen where roping off the centre wicket area and Bulluss turned to Knights and asked Knighter if they were playing cricket here tomorrow.
Their was also an occasion when Richmond were playing Sydney and Bulluss was playing on Paul Roos and he had to go up and ask somebody who Paul Roos was.
I think also that Bulluss was partially responsible for the Richmond V Brisbane brawl before the first bounce when Gieschen was coaching. Bulluss was trailing the main Richmond pack as they were jogging around the ground after they had just run through the banner and as the Brisbane huddle past by and he bumped one of their players and then all the Lions got involved and then the main Richmond pack turned around and realised that Bulluss was trying to take on the entire Brisbane team by himself, then Richmond ran over and all hell broke loose. That was on the best starts to a match I've seen.
