What are your expectations for Jacko this year and what would be a good year for him?
-
Make or break year for Jacko for mine. In his 5th year he needs to cement his place in the side and play every game barring injury which he did in the second half of 2007. Hopefully over summer he has continued working on improving his decision making with his disposal and learnt as much from his failures (Robert Harvey giving him a lesson) as well as successes (shutting down Simon Black) last year.
-
I think it may have clicked for Jacko in the second half of last year. I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a couple of games by the scruff of the neck and for us to consider him leadership material at the end of the year.
-
Interested to see if he improves anymore. Was lucky in the 2nd half of 2007 that there was a spot there for him and he grasped it (as a tagger). But I still wonder if he is our first choice in that role
Needs to imprvoe his kicking under pressure but he aint alone there ::)
Personally I still don't think he is in our best 22 - more than happy to be proven wrong
-
I think Daniel will be our most improved this year.
The penny has dropped and I'm expecting a great season from Jacko.

a candidate that could easily go either way

Maybe Ox but I doubt it.
Daniels a late starter but a fast learner and his game improved significantly last season.
He'll work hard to get better and I expect him to.

If i can try and be serious for a moment.
*moment passes*
I actually think Jackson has the ability to win a game off his own boot...eventually,which is about due now
it's just wether he thinks it himself or not.
Possibly an arduous task, being supported by kinfolk such as myself and worse.,
-
big fan. i think this will be his year.
he is tough and stands up for his teammates, exactly what we need
-
he will never rip a game open and theres nothing overly special about his game, just nice and tough and can do a job when required
the real test is now 5th year and needs to really contribute to the side rather than just be happy to get games
-
Agreed T2 he wont ever break a game open but thats not what he is there for. He needs to play the tough tagging role along with Johno. I'm like him. I feel he will have a great year.
-
Hope for Jackson to have a break-out year and cement a place in the starting 22.
If he doesnt get injured, would want to see at least 18 games for the season and a finish in the top 12 of the B&F.
-
He pretty much broke the game open against Collingwood in the 3rd quarter last year, so he's shown that he's capable of doing it. I really hope he cements his spot in the side, he has a bigger body so can handle a few knocks, maybe he'll be the one keeping Tiva out of the side.

He can turn a game Ox but needs to step up and do it more regularly now!
The Collingwood match in rd 19 he changed it in the third quarter when the Skunks were challenging us and scores were level it was Jacko that shifted the game back in our favour.
For me if he can improve his awareness at times as he seems to be ambling and gets run down from behind he will be fine, but his time may be running out he just needs to build on his improved second half of the year this year.
