Thoughts on our spine?
It's The Spinal Countdown - Number 14
AFL Insider
January 11th 2008
Richmond
Full Back - Joel Bowden
Centre Half Back - Alex Rance
Centre - Brett Deledio
Centre Half Forward - Graham Polak
Full Forward - Matthew Richardson
They will trouble some teams in 2008, especially if Richardson is in good form, but Richmond are also going through a time of transition from one generation to another. Richardson and Bowden have carried the burden for a long time but help is on the way with Rance, Polak, Riewoldt, Gourdis and McGuane who could be part of the Richmond spine in 2008 but will also be key parts of their future spine.
1997
Full Back - Darren Gaspar
Centre Half Back - Duncan Kellaway
Centre - Chris Bond
Centre Half Forward - Ben Holland
Full Forward - Matthew Richardson
15th. Bulldogs
16th. Melbourne

swap mcguane for thursty and it sounds about right
-
What a skilled defence in 97 :-X
I know he's rated highly but Rance hasn't even played a game yet to expect him to hold down a key position all year this year. Joel should not be wasted again as as a fill in full back. Thursty is our best full back option unless we're playing a side with a gorilla FF like Gehrig, Lynch or Hall.

We're more like spinal "Tap"
"This much talent" :lol

Only happens if you can sell out a little place just outside of town - the "EnormoDome" in September.
Thanks to Duke Fame who has to leave and wait for limo in the lobby.

Let's see what Sir Denis Eaton Hogg will have to say about that

That "No 1" spine really helped the bombers last year :stupid
-
What a ridiculous article!! Why did they put Rance in? I may be wrong but it appears to me that he is the only player listed who hasn't played at AFL level.
Give me West Coast over Essendon anytime. Freo at 4 is also a Joke! :banghead Haselby & tarrant!! :rollin

Brisbane at number 5 on the strength of Lappin and Brown. The other 3 haven't proven anything.
Sydney really should be number 1.
Carlton at 10, lol, maybe if Judd was in the middle instead of Carrazzo.

why is Essendon No.1 ?
who won the Premiership ???
... ohhh it was Geelong ...
Scarlett, Egan, Bartel, Mooney, Hawkins (N Ablett 07)

Thursfield, Polak, Coughlan/Deledio, Richardson, Gourdis/Jay
