What do you folks think is more important to us in the lead up to round 1?
-
All important but I'd like to see us play the kids.
-
A happy medium amongst all four criteria. All are equally important. With a young team like ours and our recent poor history a winning culture needs to be nurtured with no injuries. Hence the longer the play together the more used they will get to each other which will create an uncanny bond and understanding of teammates around them.

A win in round 1 of the NAB cup would be good after that play the cubs and play the cubs
A win will give us hope and some membership momentum
-
Love to say them all but in my mind if I could only pick the one I think that it would be the blooding of the young ones into the big league.
-
usually i say lets the play the kids but i think we should actually try and win it because we havent won any silverware for a long time and itll make the end of the season easier if weve had a crap year and finished 16th
-
Would love a win first up but I went for no injuries. After last year it would be great if we could go into round 1 with our best 22 and spoil the blues party.
-
Where we are at with the list we have we need to get experience into the kids one way or another. Play the kids.

no injuries

I went for no injuries given our disasterous start to last year which we never seemed to recover from for the remainder of 2007.
I think all of them are important but if we don't have the cattle to put out on the park then we can expect the same quantity of pain for 2008. At the moment the only notable addition to the injury list for me is Connors. I had high hopes for the lad after showing a bit playing for us and mostly the Burgers. I hope can come off the list quickly and no other players incur any serious injuries for the rest of the preseason (and season for that matter).
If injuries do occur well then you will have your wish of playing the cubs and as a result trying new tactics.
I would like to see us show something in our first NAB preseason game but I am not concerned if we don't do anything beyond this as long as we slaughter the Tankers in round one and blanket Judd and Stevens(bit harder to dominate when you are not in the company of 4 other midfield stars hey Judd! ;)).

No injuries for me, even though they are all important. No injuries will allow us to play our best team in the early rounds and give us the best chance for some confidence and optimism. Players having to compete for spaces in a team that is confident and competitive (winning) is the best possible scenario for our kids to learn from and in.

No Injuries ...
but every match we play is important ... we need to win anything we can ... players need to star believing they can win every match ...
i think if we won the NAB Cup it will do us wonders ...
Terry isn't taking the NAB Cup seriously which is ... ok ... i guess ...
but if we get through to week 3 ... i think he should play our best squad ...

Yep we'll be two men short to rotate off the bench because Terry will only have 6 instead of the allowed 8.
