Title: Browny - 2008 expectations?
Post by: one-eyed on January 21, 2008, 04:14:16 PM
Time to have a look at a senior player. What are your expectations for Browny this year and what would be a good return and year from him?

Vital to our team's improvement and when fit is our best player.

An uninterrupted pre-season would hopefully see him play 22 games should for a 40-50 goal return along with a heap of assists.

Welcome back Browny. :D

Hopefully back to full fitness as he was pre round 10 2005.
Perhaps a stint in the middle with the bulk of his time being spent in the forward line.
As Mr Magic has stated 40-50 goals anything more would be a bonus as well as a hand in many many others.
If Richo can kick 60+
Browny 45+
and add blokes like Deledio, Pettifer , Tambling who can kick potentially something around that mark also and our forward line is suddenly looking very productive and Terry's 2005 dream of kicking 100 points a game on average does not seem unrealisitic.

A full season from Browny would be great.

If we get 22 games out of N.G. Brown then we get around 30-45 goals, etc etc

Ditto  :thumbsup.

Browny should average 2 goals per game with ease if he were to play every game. He kicked 21 last year from just half a year and when coming back from that hotspot problem. I also think he'll spend time back having bursts in the midfield this year (a la 2005) which will help Foley and co.

Again so much of the tigers 08 season relies on him. Aside from his own output the whole team walks taller and has a bit more belief when he is in the forward arc.

Richo & Browny firing together with Deledio in the mix is a scary thought for the opposition.

Lids Richo Browny
Pettifer Polak Tambling

thats a pretty potent set up.
