What are your expectations for Hydey this year and what would be a good year for him?

I like Chris but I think he'll be in a long line fighting for spots.

Plenty of similar flanker types so he'll have to play very well to play seniors this season..

I think he will struggle. With all the new blood in the side and him being that 24-27 age group he has gone down in the pecking order so unless we get a serious spate of injuries he will have very limited senior time . He may get a few games in the row come the last 4 or 5 weeks in the season if we are not in a position to challenge for finals so that he can get exposure and possibly attract a suitable 2nd or 3rd round trade.

One of my favorite players of the last few years. I really think he bleeds yellow and black throwing his body in the line of fire whenever needed. however saying that i think he will (but pray he doesnt) struggle this year with the youngsters comming through and may end up in the trade at the end of this season. thats my expectation, my dream would be for him to become more of run with player as he has the ability and speed to run off and hurt them in the other direction.

IMO Cass is his biggest competition for a spot. Both are similarish type players so Chris' AFL prospects hinge a lot on Cass' development this year and how he goes with injuries. Hopefully Cass can cement an AFL spot by years end. Big fan of his  :gotigers

If only Hydey had a right foot so he didn't have to stop and cut back on his left. He's had a good uninterrupted preseason and he looks injury-free so I still think he'll get enough of the footy to play senior footy but agree with others that he'll be on the fringes.

LOL @ Darth.

I think that this will be a really good year for him as he's one of the top players that we have got. With the run he has got it will be great to let him have his head and go for those runs and leave the opposition in his dust. So i think it will be a really great year for him.

Could surprise a few.

If Munsta really is fit he may definitely surprise a few.

It's up to the kids to force him out.
