Hopefully its true. He's is the most arrogant of all the umpires I feel and does absolutely nothing to help situations on the ground. His face is one of arrogance and smugness and I get the impression he feels he is bigger than any player playing the game. Good riddance.

As my friend just said to me, you should never know the names of umpires. Chamberlain is going the same way as Goldspink.

Well it's been confirmed Goldspink is retiring. Our game will be his last. Do it for us Goldy and screw the Saints lol.

Spot on Wayne, what a maggot Goldspink has been, I hate the trend of umpires calling players by their nicknames, the funny thing is with Goldspink is that when he did it, players used to look at him as if to say "i don't know you, or like you, so f off"

It never actually bothered me though that we was alleged to have told Gary Ablett Jr to "get a kick". If players are going to abuse umpires then they shouldn't be surprised if they get a bit back. Goldspink took things too far though and interfered with the game too much.

Goldspink is probably expecting a send-off.

Goldspink retiring shouldn't be 'big news' on SEN, he's just an umpire, go out quietly.

Decision making wise I didn't mind Goldy as a ump. A lot better than some who had no idea  ::). Any ump that ticks off Hawk fans can't be that bad though  :lol. He just loved the attention that being miked up gave him which is what annoyed so many people.

Some caller on SEN reckons there's word going around that Goldspink will "go out with a bang tonight" but doing something memorable or outlandish in his final game - like holding onto Richo or something crazy like that.
