Fevola in more strife
March 17, 2008 06:05pm
CARLTON'S bad-boy full-forward, Brendan Fevola, may be in more trouble after reportedly being filmed urinating on the window of a Prahran bar.
Channel Seven tonight reported that Fevola was filmed urinating on the windown of the Candy Bar in Greville St.
Although the video footage was inconclusive, bar staff said they had confronted the Carlton forward and been insulted when they suggested his behaviour was unacceptable.
Fevola this afternoon denied the claim when approached by a Channel Seven reporter.
The club has said it is unaware of the alleged incident. Candy Bar staff said they didn't plan to report the incident to police, but wanted Fevola to play clean-up costs.

Ch 7 news also said Fev will have to face the Carlton leadership group tomorrow.
3aw claim it happens at 4am Sunday morning so he was out too late as well. Bucks said he wouldn't suspend him as it punishes the whole team. Make it a financial/extra training penalty instead. Russell and Healy then chipped and said if it was round 22 last year Carlton would've suspended him lol.

What an idiot :stupid
Well that's one way to knock Judd off the front and back pages at Carlton :rollin.

Yeah and if they were fair dinkum about it the playing group will suspend him!!
-
The bookies have suspended betting on the game. On ya Fev :wallywink
-
Yeah what a guy, I would rather have him in the side but like I said if they (Carltank) have any sort of rules in their team he will be suspended.
-
rules or no rules fev will play.
they bend the rules for anyone and anything those cheating pricks.
i would be so surprised if he doesn't play i really would
-
Fev was placed in their leadership group this year wasn't he :rollin.
I like foxsports title for their story - "Fevola strikes trouble in the wee hours" ;D

Yeah I like this one from news.com.au - "Claims AFL star gave window wee wash" :lol
-
wee hours. funny
leadership or no leadership i still think he will play because thats how those scumbags operate

What are these pinheads doing to the sport they play and we love. Don't they ever consider what they are doing will stop a lot of parent from letting their kids play football. Yes I know its just not AFL but it seems more crap is coming out of this than all the rest bought together. It's time to make these spoilt brats pay and not get paid for wrong doings. Take off the gloves and let the AFL suspend him for a couple of weeks.
-
In the past you probably didn't hear about it with no CCTV and the media not concerned with what footballers did off-field.
Fev was suspended by Pagan last year for one game but with Pagan gone the current Blues' admin will probably give him a slap on the wrist. LOL at Judd leaving the Eagles to get away from teammates behaving as morons off-field ;D.
-
lets see how if the CFC are serious bout setting an example for their young brigade, now if only the rest of story might come out. :shh
-
On footy classified Caro says Fev should not play round 1. Lyon agreed with Caro and would give him 2 weeks. Archer reckons the players to just look Fev in the eye and tell him to stop mucking about or else. Hutchy reckons there's no question he'll play.
-
Geeze, Fev really p... me off sometimes.
This whole incident is a wee bit disappointing..
I hope we can syphon some good from all of this.
I wonder who leaked the story to the press..

They should slash his pay.
It'll get hosed down.
If he didn't have shoes on he might be a twinkle toes this week.

Fevola's fate in Blue hands
Mark Stevens | March 18, 2008 12:00am
Candy bartender Stu Bellis told Channel 7 last night of his run-in with Fevola.
"I noticed from inside . . . someone was urinating at the glass window here," Bellis said. "I came sort of running out, telling him to stop doing it. He asked me what my f---ing problem was.
"He was just giving me little shoves the whole time.
"And then one of his friends tried to drag him away and that was when he went forward and hit me in the chest.
"It was a pretty decent shove. I had the railing behind me otherwise I would have been on my back probably.
"It's not a toilet. It's the front of our shop. I said, `How would you like it?'.
"He said he wouldn't care."
Fevola's wife Alex was also at the bar and features on the footage. She remained tight-lipped last night when contacted by the Herald Sun.
"I've got nothing to say, sorry," Alex Fevola said.
Carlton confirmed last night it had spoken to Fevola.
"Brendan has confirmed an incident did take place and the club is considering the issue seriously," its statement said.

Fevola facing a club suspension from round-one
Samantha Lane and Nick Sheridan | March 18, 2008
A club source told The Age last night that penalising Fevola by banning him from doing what he loves most — playing football — might be the only way to get the message through to the forward, whose catalogue of off-field misdemeanours continues to grow.
Issuing a suspension to a match-winning player before the club's much-anticipated season opener against Richmond on Thursday night would set an example to the Blues' young list, the source said.
While removing Fevola from the leadership group would seem an obvious penalty, it's understood Fevola's teammates feel the 27-year-old is more likely to flout team rules when he is not in a position of responsibility.
Channel Seven news last night screened security camera footage that showed the Carlton forward appearing to unzip his pants and then urinating on the window of the Candy Bar, on Greville Street, at 4.18am on Sunday.
The Age understands that the Blues' leadership group had warned the wider playing group to be careful over the last weekend before round one. It is believed the leadership group is likely to be more scathing about the fact that Fevola could have been in a state to behave in such a way, more than the action itself.
The video camera footage also shows Fevola shoving Bellis before crowd control staff intervened.
Bellis said he did not want to press charges against Fevola, but that he wants him to pay the bill for cleaning the window.

SEN said the Carlton leadership group has met Fevola. No news yet but the reporter reckons it's more likely he'll be suspended.
-
l hope he plays, if he don't it will take the gloss off the game
l want to see a great game, not a game where we might drop our guard
-
Judd must be feeling right at home. Strife and controversy.
-
i couldn't care less if he plays or not.
thats football.
no one cares when we had half our team out or when we were down with one tall for the most part of last year, thats footy.
if he plays he plays, if he doesn't well look out if we don't smash them.
it should pretty much be a formality in my eyes
-
l heard the AFL were calling him in also because his continued drunkin behavior :shh
-
SEN saying Fev is still at Princes Park. Been there since this morning being questioned. The Blues won't give a time frame for a final decision as they are "taking it seriously".
-
You dont lie cheat steal tank to lose round 1, he will play and we will kick their rrrs.
-
I heard Jud is making the call,
therefore if Fev plays, jud is a hypocrite.....and we smak the stuff out of them.
Plan should be the same every week.
-
Carlton press conference at 5pm.
-
fev is free to play.
geez they really make me sick they do
i hope we slam them hard.
-
Confirmed by Swann - Fev will play
Stood down from leadership group
Fined $10,000
Enrol him in alcohol education
Any further alcohol related incidents and his contract will be terminated.
Swann said suspending him wouldn't have solved the problem. Said they couldn't win as if they had suspended him people would've have said they were too harsh.
-
You don't tank at the beginning of a season, that's silly lol
Glad he's playing.
We'll win regardless if he's there or not :wallywink
-
Surprise surprise.
The RFC cheer squad will have a ball now when Fev is down their end ;D.
-
thats a costly night out on the booze :lol
$10k fine & AA classes & threat of your job thats just outrages punishment
Drink & Capable drivers dont get anything near what he copped so whats that say about our justice system
anyway not getting off track here, l'm glad his playing as l want to really see whos going to take him on
McGuane is the man, Hope his up to the challenge
Fevola's preferred club if he left Carlscum is Richmond :lol
-
They are going to put portoloos behind the goals just in case.
Caro reckons it was soft.
-
Glad he is playing the tool ;D
We'll win for sure now ;) :rollin
-
Well what a soft bunch of soft pricks, I am glad he is playing because now Thursty and co can keep him to a big fat zero goals!! How was Carazzo (spelling) coming out publicly saying that it would be harder for them to beat us without Fevanker, what a crock of a club!!
-
Judd and their leadership group are puppets and Swann pulls the strings :whistle.

very true why wasnt he fronting the media with Swan.
-
Richmond management should offer a reward to any RFC player who properly shirtfronts Judd inside the first 20 minutes of the 1st Quarter.

Why? Leave the fool out there - his team mates won't have a warm and fuzzy about him bringing their collective image into disrepute.
