Polo- poo skills

polly has had a diff role this yr and will get better as the yr develops
-
does anyone on OER honestly believe that JON will ever make it as a footballer.
He has age on his side but truthfully id say meyer has a better chance of playing seniors.
we have a lot of guys who smash it for Coburg but then are simply not cut out for senior footy. id say he is one of them..

What little I have seen of JON gives me the gut feeling he won't make it. I have seen some fantastic work from him, but I just can't look past the poor decision making and the apparent lack of awareness of what is going on around him. I can see what may have attracted us to drafting him in the first place but I think we will look back on JON in 10 years time as one of those poor drafting decisions we are so apt at making. The fact that he can seem absolutely oblivious to the player about to tackle him makes him look slow and is a real worry IMHO.
Admittedly I haven't seen him for quite a while so he may have grown as a footballer. People can learn. But can a dumb footballer become a smarter footballer? In my opinion JON is a dumb footballer. I really don't know what the future holds for him.
He is still very young. :-\

he will make it
I hope you are right X. He could offer a lot to the team.

he will make it
u must be kidding urself yet again i must say.

talk to me in 2 yrs! he is doing the hard way but as i said he will make it and WILL prove u wrong

JON has improved in terms of getting his hands on the pill across HB and he's got a decent pair of mits but then when making decisions and disposing of the footy especially by foot it's :help. He's 20 and in his 3rd year so the age thing won't be an excuse in a year's time if he's still stuck at Coburg.
Btw I'm willing to give Danny the rest of the season before writing him off. See if he is over that hip problem.
