Today The Advocate presents a shortlist of the best players ever to come out of the North West.
Matthew Richardson
Two-time All-Australian, 12 times leading goal kicker for Richmond, and the Tigers' 2007 Best and Fairest. The Devonport-born forward will play for the Dream Team this weekend, having already pulled on the Allies jumper in previous State of Origin series.
Brendon Gale
A hard-working ruckman- forward, Gale played 244 games and kicked 209 goals in 12 seasons at Richmond.
Ray Stokes
Played 93 games for Richmond, and represented Tasmania seven times, as well as winning the Wander Medal in 1954 as the NWFU's best player.

i cant help but think how good would it be if richo gets All Australia and a Brownlow in the one year.
