Title: Is last year's dreamtime game a spur for revenge?

Link of the day: Dons pip Tiges
Herald-Sun | May 22, 2008

AS the Bombers and Tigers prepare for Saturday night's match, we look back at the epic they fought out this time last year.

In Round 9, 2007, the plucky Tigers led until the dying minutes, when Essendon stormed home for a nail-biting victory.

The match is also remembered for one of the great dummy spits of all time from Richo after a hands-in-the-back call went against him.

Looking back, you can't help but consider how quickly the wheel turns in AFL. Just a year ago, Kevin Sheedy was coach of Essendon, Richo was still a permanent forward, the hands-in-the-back rule dominated talkback and the Tigers didn't know how to close out games.

Well, I guess somethings stay the same.

Yep - what they said.

At least James Hird can't get the medal this year.

Nothing new people still making fun of us. Those Walton ads on the radio even still have a go - "You'll feel like a Richmond supporter and no one wants that"  ::)

At least James Hird can't get the medal this year.
What a joke of a decision that was  ::).

Um, get lost.

Was one of the worst, albeit technically correct, free kick in history.

Richo also shook the hands of the Dons players after the game, he is a true sportsman that plays his guts out and just wants to win. It was a magnificent goal too.

Still spit chips when I think of it.

Yeah anyone with even a quarter of a brain would have reacted the same way as Richo if it happened to them.
