and throw patto in there.
he tries hard but what is he there for.
he is too clumsy to hold down the position as 2nd ruck.
is he going to get us into the top 8? not in your life. goodbye

It's always a good idea to spell the key word of the Title correctly.

Disease.

Agree on the first 5 should not be retained on the list under any circumstances have not done anything with them in the past and that is what they are the past.
Polak should be holding down a key position but isn't due to poor planning and coaching
which leads on to my next point the cause of the disease right now
Wallace and Miller poor coaching poor planning poor recruiting just topping last years sales in snake oil per barrell to us the supporter. Shame on you if you fool us once shame on us if you fool us twice. Time to go and go far let these to guys go before their beligerent self interest pushes the on field chances to turn around this club into the mire and extra couple of years. Do it and do it now Mr March. Extraordinary board meeting please. That way we can get a new coach to tank for the rest of the year and get priority picks rather than beat Melbourne next week have Terry tell us the group turned it all around and he is proud as its all about the players and all that righteous crap that he is so reknowned for when really he is making a last ditch bid to save his flailing job and the last smidgen of credibility he has as a coach instead of stumbling and bumbling to the end of the season for those priority picks that will best suit the club in the long run.
So it goes without saying part of the cure of this disease is getting rid of the Dried Sultana and the Pascal Marshmallow.

Why does everyone agree, it seems so obvious - can't our club see the forest for the trees?

Polak has a major confidence problem, he can play but looks completely shot.

lets also not forget how old Polak is, 23.

How come people see him as a senior?

I think Terry's coaching has ruined Polak. Therefore Terry is accountable for his lack of performance. No faith or trust in him and hence offers him no week to week challenges for Graham to condition his mind to and meet. I think Terry is bereft of ideas and in his mind he has a perfect 22 that he would like to pick week in week out without fail thus some of the baffling and infuriating selections on a Thursday night.
Polak should be a key position back like a CHB not a floating back or a floating fwd. If coached properly I feel Polak can be of value and not be seen as one of those cancer type players we go on and on about.  Polak I felt had a good year last not as a key position player but nevertheless he was entrusted with more of a match day role than he has now. I feel that Terry has had some friction with him and hence he is on the outer and hence his match role when in the senior side is minimal and almost insignificant.

Fair point GR 12 you may be right but doesn't it also raise questions on the type of coaches Wallace and Connolly were/are at their respective clubs and the type of destructive and negative culture at both clubs also. You can blame a player up to a point but if a bloke like Polak went to a club like North I bet he would do his job and show more passion and heart in his play.

I agree with you. I cannot understand why Wallace continues to play these hasbeens, especially Tivendale. I would have cut him 4 years ago.

With a little help from Dire Straits ;)

Warning lights are flashing down at quality footy control
Somebody traded for a dud and they threw him in the defensive hole
There's rumors in the members' bay and anger in Struggletown
Some are very fickle and want to tear Punt Rd's walls down

There's a meeting in the boardroom they're trying to trace the smell
There's leaking in the changeroom, there's a sneak in personnel
Somewhere in the midfield corridor everyone was seen to freeze
goodness me could this be Richmond disease?

The first round pick was crucified for sleeping against the goalpost
The fans refusing to be pacified, it's him they blame the most
The grog squad's got rabies, the coteries got fleas
And everyone's concerned about Richmond disease

There's panic on the club switchboard, tongues are tied in knots
Some ring up in sympathy, some want everyone shot
Some blame the recruitment, some the coaching
But everybody knows it's the Richmond disease

The media is disgusted, sharpens tools and talks
No excuses for the injured, the experience should walk
Ben Holland's seeking damages and everyone agrees
That these are classic symptoms of a salary cap squeeze

On MMM and 3AW they talk about the curse
Mike Sheahan is useless, Caroline is worse
History boils over there's a total success freeze
Frawley invents words that mean Richmond disease

Doctor Parkinson declared I'm not surprised to see you here
Your footskills are shocking, you play like you've had 30 beers
I dont know how you came to be such mentally softy
But worst of all young man you've got Richmond disease

He wrote me a prescription he said you must be depressed
But I'm glad you came to see me to get this off your chest
Come back and see me 25 years later - next patient please
Send in another victim of Richmond disease

I go down to Punt-Bridge Rds corner and I'm thunderstruck
They've got free speech for Tiger purists, police in trucks
Two men say they're Geez, one of them must be wrong
There's a petition signer signing a protest song - he says
They wanna 18 teams to keep us on our knees
They wanna 18 teams to steal our draftees
They wanna 18 teams to stop us ever having victory
They wanna 18 teams to keep Richmond disease
They're kicking to the enemy like they're deaf and blind
They sap your energy and incarcerate your mind
They give you rules that insane ya, plastic cup beer, no FTA TV
Two weeks interstate thanks to AA and Andy D.
Meanwhile the first Geez says I'd cure it soon
Abolish all the duds and remove all the goons
The other one's got a goal shot but he's missed from 10 and no degrees
How come Geez gets Richmond disease
