Topic on SEN with Liam Pickering and Luke Darcy.
Darcy says his decison was based on who he'd want to coach and with all their No.1 draft picks it would be Carlton. Waite will be their CHB for the next 8 years, Walker to come back, Fev up forward. If Sentanta can hold down FB then they'll be on their way.
Pickering has the Blues just ahead of Richmond at the moment. But with Deledio and Cotchin (rates both slightly better than Murphy and Gibbs), Foley, Thursty, Hughes, Morton, Riewoldt and Tambling (who'll come good eventually) all young (21 and under), it's close and Richmond is a lot better than he thought.

Isn't Waite 25 years old? He's been Mr. Potential for 6-7 years already.
If Carrazzo is Italian for turnover, then Walker is Aussie for kick it to the opposition.
Sentanta :clapping :lol That's funny.
Another thing is, ALL their number one draft picks? It's 3 players, that doesn't make a team.

Now that Pratty's gone from the club more than likely so has the financial entitlements so they won't be buying cheating or lying their way to a flag in the ensuing years. Not with that rag tag group of misfits.
Setanta O'helpme ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaha
can throw a punch at Bridie O'Reillys.
No key position backmen at this point in time and if Fev don't sign who will kick the majority of their goals?
At least our boys are developing. We may not win a flag too early to tell but at this point in time we are in a better situation both on and off the field. Remember the AFL was propping this filth up for so long. Should be an AFL investigation on where they are getting the money to pay for Judd. Players at the Blues may leave due to them wanting more money but them splashing out on Judd and trying to retain blokes like Stevens and Fevola. They are going nowhere. Mid table mediocrity at worst bottom 3 or 4 at the best. :lol

Yep Waite and Sentanta are both 25. WYSIWYG. Carrazzo is 24. Judd is a couple months from 25. If Luke Darcy thinks they are still 4 years away then all these guys will be nearing 30 and Fev will be over 30 by then.

I think Carltank will end with a team like St Kilda - a team of champions while we are developing a strong team of even contributors. We have some very good young players but they are not far infront of their peers moving up with them. The fact that we now have such a large amount of good players all competing for similiar positions and all around the same age will make us very tough to match up on similiar to this years Geelong.
Before last week the only area of the ground I was worried about for the future was the forwardline but after the Port game I can now see this is showing promise too. If Morton, Riewoldt and Hughes can string together a few games close to last week then we will be well on the way especially when you begin to throw in players such as Connors, Collard, Rance, Putt, Gourdis and even (dare to dream) a healthy Meyer and Cogs.
I think we have done well in bringing through a large group of good to very good players all around the same age bracket and it will take us to a flag long before Carlton who may have a few standouts but will always be let down by their weaker players.
I believe we will become a Champion team.

Us of course.

Impossible to tell at this stage. Its your second tier players that decide whether you go from regular finals contender to flag winners.
Dependent on whether players like Pattison, Moore, McGuane improve.
-
No doubt, CARLTON
-
We are a fair way behind Carlton at this stage in terms of player quality and development.

We have some great kids comming through but IMO we are still missing some big bodied KPP's, EG Franklin, Jothothan Brown.
We also need a giant in the ruck as well who can team up with Simmo. Yeah Patto came on in leaps and bounds (pun intended) last year but is still only a 3rd string ruckman at best and isnt really skillfull enough for a KPP.
So as much as i hate to say it, id have to go Carlton.

great topic and its the blues.
as long as we have captain pathetic in our side we wont go anywhere.
